The word is politically and emotionally charged,[5] and this greatly compounds the difficulty of providing a precise definition. One 1988 study by the US Army found that over 100 definitions of the word "terrorism" have been used.[6] A person who practices terrorism is a terrorist. The concept of terrorism is itself controversial because it is often used by states to delegitimize political opponents, and thus legitimize the state's own use of terror against those opponents.

Terrorism/Terrorist.......words that have been twisted by the USA and media to strike fear whenever anyone hears the word.
One way I look at it is.
The people fighting and the ones trying to kill our soldiers obviously do not want us in there country so they will do anything to keep us out.
You call them terrorists when this is how they fight, If I was outnumbers by a huge country constantly giving me crap and bombing me then I would not send my troops in to die in a battle they cant win, I would do anything I could to cripple the army coming to kill me with roadside bombs and tactics.
Everyone is saying these people are bad and that what they are doing is wrong.....well to them its good, to them they are doing what they believe in and trying to protect there homes and family any way they can.
If anything the US needs to STFU, you idiots bombed Japan and now you are still bombing everywhere else with smaller bombs the only difference is your doing it behind an army badge where as they are fighting as a people.
I don't think anyone is right in what they did but its obvious no one knows the truth behind all of this and unfortunately we have to listen to the media corporations run by the government so we never know the truth we just know what we have been told or read in a book somewhere.
We failed.

The word is politically charged - that is true. I define the word as a paramilitary force that is acting outside the authority and control of a national government.
The motives are not necessarily important if for no other reason they often cannot be understood. Suffice to say, they could be religious, political, or territorial, ancestorial, or simply very angry for any reason.

If they are fighting the government and keep killing the mases authomatically they are aganist the government because mases are under government protection , ofcourse they must be eliminated....if those guys think the have any scores to settle with government or anybody, they should declear it open and that is the reason of democracy Unless they are fighting for no just cause....I still demand the clearer reasons of terrorism.

I think if I was in their place and my family was killed and friends where bombed (assuming of course that I was not apart of any terrorist activity's before hand.)
I would honestly be thinking eye for an eye here, If I had the means and a way I would take revenge on the people that did this to me.
Although I would have some moral problems with killing innocent people, I would not have a problem fighting the army that killed my family.
I don't like the fact that its called Terrorism.....if this has been the work of a few guys then....well.....they have some good tactics in taking down a country.....America is screwed because they went to far.
