Help TIG revamp our Project Pages!
November 24, 2008 - 11:42 AM

TIG is embarking on a redesign of our Project Pages and we want feedback from you!
The goal: to update our Project Pages so that they can support you better in the online management of your initiatives and networking!

Tell us what you like about the Project Pages, what you don't like, what you find really useful and what is difficult to use - plus tell us what features our Project Pages don't have that would be awesome!

Feedback shared here will be discussed during our Project Revamp meetings and we will try to incorporate as many positive suggestions as possible!

Thanks in advance for your help!

the project page is really wonderful, but I find some taqnecal proplem when I establish a new project. another thing, I think that we need a toolkit or something like that to show how we can get binfet from the pages, how we can make a chang. I have many friends they did not know how to use it at all, and I spend lots of time until I understand some basic.

that's all 4 now.

Kind Rgards,

Fathismile

Hi Laura,

Thanks for starting this discussion !

I use the project pages a lot because I find them very useful, we have access to blogs, discussion forums, list of members of the project, group page related to the project page, all these tools are great !!

But I would like to suggest to the Project Revamp team to see if they can add a link to the Project Chat in each project because that would be really helpful since many people don't know that they have access to this resource, also it may help the moderators of the project organize online events on the project Chat of their Project page and talk about the progress that can be made, the suggestions of the members in a more direct way, discussion and exchange are often better than writing a blog.

Also, can you suggest to the Tech team to add some tools for the moderators who want to better the design of their project pages like adding a Banner with pictures about the project's activities on the top of the Project page.

Thanks !! smile
Yassir

Hi Laura,
The project page is really instrumental and has been instrumental in the facilitation of ongoing projects by young people across nationalities and also between TIG and its members for instance the Community Connector Internship Program project pages and Youth Voices Project.
In my own view so far the page is quite fine. Perhaps from experience with the marginalized young people i have worked with, what can be improved on is the documents area. It should be placed in such a way that it is easy for a person who is not well-versed in computer packages to upload documents without any problems-This can be done by having "explanatory pop-up icons" when one points at the section on what the words browse and upload mean under the documents sections.

Already, the project page is greate.

But i wish to suggest that the TIG team add a "Video downloading capability to the project page.

I also appreciate the contributions of Yassir and Faith

the project pages are really nice and help us make a change in our world around us but i have been encountering problems in creating a project "HOPE 2009" each time i place it online it is always declined with no reason given. i think when a project is been declined, reasons should be added to help the creator do things right next time. i also think a guideline should be placed on the page to assist us in creating our projects. lolbig grin
