New American President
November 4, 2008 - 09:59 AM

By the end of today America will have elected a new President, and many people are predicting Americans will elect the first black President. What kind of changes do you think will come about under a new President? Do you think America's relations with the rest of the world will really change significantly?

Hope the new president will renew the country's foreign policy. Obama quoted, "I spoke out against what I called "a rash war' in Iraq. I worried about, "an occupation of undetermined length, with undetermined costs, and undetermined consequences.' The full accounting of those costs and consequences will only be known to history. But the picture is beginning to come into focus.

Nearly 4,000 Americans have been killed in Iraq. Five times that number have suffered horrible wounds, seen and unseen. Loved ones have been lost, dreams denied. Children will grow up without fathers and mothers. Parents have outlived their children. That is a cost of this war.

When all is said and done, the price-tag will run over a trillion dollars. A trillion dollars. That's money not spent on homeland security and counter-terrorism; on providing health care to all Americans and a world-class education to every child; on investments in energy to save ourselves and our planet from an addiction to oil. That is a cost of this war.
"

Not only the Americans, the entire world is waiting for the election results!

What we are seeing now is that more and more, the working class are beginning to realize that they cannot continue to vote for a party just because they are members of that party but now voting is about selecting the one who best fits the bill for the job of fixing what needs to be fixed.
More people have realized that a singular vote cast could make the difference that would reverberate through the hall ways of time.
Obama won this election because the people spoke and they said they were tired of the mediocrity that has plagued politics for years and the fallouts that they have had to suffer.
Now that he has been elected it is time for the issues to be addressed, as pointed out by a political strategist one of the primary issues to be addressed is Guantanamo Bay - Prisoners of a War that is non-existent in my book...

Change...
Change...
Change...
That is what happened
That was what Obama preached.
Peace...
Peace...
Peace...
Not heard
Change is coming..
It truly came
Change...
Change...
Obama changed.
That is a new concept in America
Change...
Let's laugh for change.
Change is possible.
Change...
We are all change.
New order in America
Change will change thinks
Change...
Fix America and renew hope
Change is permanent.
Change is Obama...
Celebrate Change first.
Then ask questions
Because Change is change.
Change...
Now that it is on ground.
Change will rebuild America
Change...
In my little opinion.
Change proved me wrong, and...
Change...
Only Change...the real change.
Change is definitely going to change things
Change is as of the beginning.
Change is Obama, the 'change-bearer'
The "Change-maker of America"

I hopefully believe that Obama’s CHANGE will open new books, new doors and news hearts for American people, those their dignity has been burned by this current administration. Obama’s Changes will change the international relationship platform policy and within the US problems. I hope him to see the fruitful of his wording statements into actions.

Being a person who believes in change.I lack words that can explain what I feel after Obama's victory.
He is inspiration to many considering his humble background and his quest for change.
Being brought up in a slum i feel empowered to go beyond all the challenges ahead towards making my community better than I found it.
I look forward to learning a lot from the Icon of Change.
God bless Obama,God bless the youth,God bless us all:

On the morning of November 4, Barack Obama became the President of the United states of America, not only that, he bacame the first Black American to achive that feat;as the world might have it, he was an African-American,meaning he was born by an African and that blood flows within him. However,Africa shouldn't rejoice that much about this owing to the fact that USA has a whole lot of challenges to pose on Barack Obama. However, we shouls ask ourselves in Africa what really our problem is/are.If $100billion of aids come into Africa every year, and we still keep crying of more aids in form of money, then we are missing it.There is an attitude problem especially amongst our so called leaders, and that which makes it worse is their lack of vision.Wouldn't it be sad to still see, at this age, countries in africa fighting, its quite dishappening.Nevertheless, it could be said that Barack Obama stands as a motivation for the African continent, that everyone should stand up in his/her closet to start a change, no matter what may come because a dream always materalise with consistency, hardwork and persistency.Having said that,by the third week in January, when Obama resumes office,he will be facing a world financial crisis,i believe he knows by now;it might not be that easy with all critics looking at him and his actions towards weathering the storm of the global economicrecession.Perhaps,we should wish him best of luck in his tenure angelic

10 minutes after the USA President-Elect was announced (on CNN), the messages started pouring in.

From then on, many in the world are so inspired yet reality sets in as harsh new data confront the world about the crashing economy which has unfolded during the latter part of the 20-month campaign.

Not yet President, we have the first press conference and today a Radio Address. We see the President-Elect in action!

Can we be inspired? YES!

Is this part of TheSHIFT occurring in the world? YES!

Will the new president succeed with everything with which he will be confronted? ONLY with proper support from those who would join him in what clearly is a vision to which so many are resonating.

The GLOBAL CELEBRATION is clear and contributions from Fred Kiyawa (Uganda) and Pat / YUBUPA (Canada) provide a KEY summation of what is at stake here.

CLICK! to read, watch listen to:

Will-i-Am's latest in a series of videos responding to the Obama Campaign.

A sample message from: kayiwa fred (Uganda)

YUBUPA's video: She says, "Normally am not for Politics but this time ... i go beyond my limits"

Francine Jarry's creation, "We Are The Ones (we've been waiting for)" created a long time ago for ABC4All Mentors!

Respectfully,

I watched the results and Obama's victory speech, and experienced the feeling associated with watching history unfold.
His speech complete with the repeated chant of "Yes We Can" made me feel more hope for America, and the world than I have felt in a very long time. Hope is infectious.

Congratulations America for taking a giant leap forward.

Everyone yearns for change but I think this will only be good in so far as it meets the real needs of the people of the World.Of course we are happy here in Kenya that Obama has finally broken the chains of victim mentality among the Blacks in America hence giving a precedent blue print to African blacks as well to rise above the impossibility mentality.
I look forward to the US president elect Mr.Obama to exploit every available opportunity to bring peace to the world ranging from the middle East conflict through the African menaces (Hunger,Conflicts,Corruption ,HIV/AIDS just to mention but a few) to the developed world problems. We will be ready to support any good attempt By Obama,The Us and any other person who mean good to humanity.
