Freedom of Speech

I am Russian born, grew up in USA, now living in Japan
Under communist Russia there was no Freedom of Speech, and if you said something the goverment did not like you would go to Jail.
Recently I have notices this oppressive trend turning its ugly head in USA and Australia. I have traveled China a number of times, and as far is Censorship in China it is very limited.
Yes Chinese decedents are censored, but regular people are pretty much left alone! Even the infamous Chinese Firewall is becoming an urban myth.
Why is the West all of the sudden wants to control and oppress its own citizens?
Please visit my blog and read about what Human Rights issues I am advocating. You may not agree with me on every point but the world is about tolerance not rubber stamping!

they found it vulger.
we as american are other countrys really need to fight for the right of haveing freedom of sheach.
that meaans to get out and vote for
a democrate office. the biggest it you
should read and get to kno who you vote for. Majorly the most important thing in the USA other countrys need Jesus Christ in everyone who get in office.
United we stand divided we fall.
be blessed and keep searching for truth

Electing a government no matter of what make up it is and trusting it to represent the people justly has never been sufficient.
The citizens of that government as well as the whole world needs to stand up and jointly advocate against censorship and for human rights and equality.
This is not a simple task and many things need to be considered in the process.
We do not not revolutions but peaceful change!

There is no question that the trend towards less free speech in any country or region is very concerning.
I believe that a lot of the root cause for this in the USA if the power of the church over the state and a huge portion of civil society in the US. Religions have historically been very oppressive when it comes to personal freedoms, and in the US the church is a very powerful and paranoid institution.
Controlling the minds of the populous through mis-information and domatization are keys to their continued power. How else can a huge institution guarantee that their mis-information is and dogma are universally accepted; clearly only if the opposition is kept silent.
Please don't interpret this as an attack on all people who have faith in the spirit or religion. This is an attack on the corrupt and tyrannical institution that the Church of Christ, Muhammed, Moses...has become.

Australia does not have freedom of speech written in our constitution so we are in a little bit more trouble in some places.....but we riot....and we riot good.
