How to tackle poverty succesfull?

Hi.
Poverty is on of th most important problems in the world. The question is how we can work against this? How it can be that billionairs pay out miillions of dollats for beauty, ships and other thinks and people all over the world famish?
But before we spend billions od dollars we have to think about if it is wise, rather what is the best method to spend puposefull money to help Many people for a long time.
What do you think about ? Please feel free and throw your ideas in.

Hi , Good point ...
I am co ordinator of emergency program . people need our help and support . but i think it must be organized and planeed to achieve the gools .
for example ...
it is good to give poor family a food parcel but
I think it is much better if we make case study for this family in order to know there interests , if they have a small area , we can help them to plant this land that will help them to feed the family and maybe this small project will be a big one that source of money also ...
Dont give me fish , teach me how to fish ...

I agree with you Adham teach people to fish and not just give them fish----empower the people.
Give the people education, access to resources like land and other.
Also do not just teach people to fish but to fish in the right pools
