Zimbabwe and their unending challenges
October 20, 2008 - 01:53 PM

I got an email from a friend of mine schooling in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe who told me that she is not in school right now but in South Africa trying to work out a living.
I also read reports about this country of interest to me. I come to realize that the country schooing system has failed since the election times till this day. As at this morning, IRIN reported that schools are really out in this country that "When Zimbabwe attained its independence 28 years ago, the new government inherited an education infrastructure that had been ravaged by war and it was almost like starting afresh, but children managed to attend classes, teachers taught, and examinations were written. Virtually all that has stopped," he said.
What we are talking about is the future of our young people, I believe withourt a vibrant and functional school system in this South African town, children and youth would fine it very difficult to secure their future. The international community should take note and we are called to act fast for them. Only with your voices!

The problem with Zimbabwe is just a reflection of the greed of African politicians.

How are about the external interferences of the West........?
the imposition of sanctions because we decided to claim back our land...?
Do you even consider the regime change agenda of the imperialists?
I agree our leaders' behavour leaves a lot to be desired but also consider the influences of the imperialists..

African Leadrs are not that greed, but we are oppressed as a result of our economies relying on mostly the western developed ones. In Zimbabwe there are policies introduced by government in early 90s (1. MINING RIGHTS FOR THE INDEGINOUS AND RELATED GAINS
(2. AGRICULTURAL POLICIES, LAND REDESTRIBUTION. and some Indeginousation Acts,
The problem that can not be said by the west clearly is that they want to finish the Great Dyk that was never explored to some extend. In Zimbabwe there is enough minerals and land to grow that can make the whole region great.
We can not explore anything at the moment because geniune investors are being scared by the west who realy know the honey in Zimbabwe. they say zimbabwe is dangeruos destination and they imposed sanctions to block those indeginous black and some loyal whites to get access to machinery for mining and all agricultural inputs.
We need your loud mouth to help us have freedom to do business with any country. Now our products that may have a bit of access to export are undervalued. Minirals being smaggled can amount to more than US$5bn per month.
I need freedom of business.
Thanks

What Zimbabwe needs now is for Mugabe to step down, allow the people(every Zimbabwean, white and black) to chose their own leader and let democracy take its place.
Honestly,he can not rule the country for all these years and bring it down with him,the people of Zimbabwe are not foolish, they have seen and identified the problem,if Zimbabwe is a kingdom then long live Mugabe, let the people make there own decisions and decide on the laws and rules to guide them.
Interference from any other state must be clear and because this problem in one little country affects all of us and our economies

I understand that just now african leaders are realising that development of the continent are being humpered by bogus western interference. Check The sudan issue West is there, Somalia Western is there, supporting war while smaggling resources and no body can notice because of violance. I the DRC they are smaggling diamond to their reserves.
I am attacking their behaviour, nothing else, race or what. African leaders are afraid of being isolated from aid as only rely on that for our economies.
Now with Mugabe he does not keep to himself what is bad, He says it in the open air and in every summit. So always the truth hurts. That's why Zimbabweans are going thru a suffuring phase. It comes and it passes. We have learnt a lot.
Note that we still have our resources and our infrastructure our communication
is there our roads are still there. mines are yet to be worked on more land for industry very highly educated nationals and hardworking. Once politics settles for governments there will be first come first to grab business, mines, manufacturing.
What we dont have right now is food, no farming inputs, no fuel, no exports, no new investors.

Well said Talent.
We dont need the inteference of the West.Who just instil their puppet regimes in Africa and other developing nation to plunder our resources.
Its not about governance or anything its about resources.
Zimbabwe is now under sanctions for taking back the land from the few colonialist who made up to 1% of the population and yet controlling 75% of the prme land.....this could not just continue.
What we need now is for the sanctions to be removed and Zimbabwe will rise again.
Aluta Continua comrades
