The only way Africa (or most of its countries) is (are) to overcome all its hardships is by tending to its people, rather than its economies/businesses.
People need 5 basic things:
1) Food & water
2) Shelter
3) Education
4) Health care
5) Security
Unfortunately, a lot of African countries CANNOT tend to its people because it is not allowed. How you say?
Look at the guidelines for any country that borrows from the IMF and World Bank.
They must turn their economies into capitalistic (laissez-faire) ones.
In order to become a capitalistic economy, a govt. (government) must succumb to corp.'s (corporations) or private businesses.
This means all public funding must be cut off (or at least most of it) - and what is part of the public? All of the 5 basic needs.
Meaning, people must pay for their food & water (rather than get it through farming or local agriculture's). They must pay for their shelter because they will lose the property they've owned for generations as they do not have sufficient paperwork to prove otherwise (meaning farmers lose their plots and have to live in slums).
Education & health care will be expensive (without either, uneducated people will be paid horrendously low because they have no other options). And security for their way of life will be lost as everything they own or have done will be taken away. Security for their lives in case of revolutions/wars will be dismissed because, well... it's bad for business really.
I cannot go into details thanks to the word limit, but just look at all the great countries (America clearly is not one of them - it is FINANCIALLY defined as a developing country) - they are not capitalistic. They have mixed economies. They provide for its people through nationalizing major businesses (transit, energy, etc) and public funding; as well as, giving private enterprises their freedom for profit WITHOUT exploiting its people.
You see, once we free Africa from the imperialistic & capitalistic grip of the IMF/World Bank, only then can we discuss nurturing her through proper governing.

the best thing to do is an african peaceful revolution to drive away all the present leaders who cares only for themselves and who are monitored by western leaders
after this children will go to school ,eat, sleep in peace thus paving the way to development

I strongly believe that Africa needs something more than industries if in any case it will make it worse. My view is that Africa needs both leaders and the led to be God fearing first, love one anther and their country then the rest will added unto us Africa.

Yeah, that is the common thing now in Africa. i can see that right here in Uganda. The 21 years old war in northern Uganda has led to so many problems and retardation in development.
and when i look at some proposed projects that have not yet been accomplished for around 20 years now when money has been given for, i truly say that it is not really possible for Africa to be fully industrialized by that year.
I hope what we can really do is to look for staunch leaders who can take the lead to development. How can we do this?
We have to vote wisely always and take into consideration the past work and contribution of those people to the current development.
We as youth also have to begin building good leadership now for the future. If we do that i do believe we shall achieve that. Africa have a lot of resources that are more worth than what the rest of the world have. This alone accompanied with hard work and good leadership can make a very great change to our continent.
