Should we still travel around the world?

Should we still travel around the world, after what happened 11 September 2001?
Should we still travel around the world, after what happened 11 September 2001?
Yes, absolutely. Now more than ever.
The sad events of September 11th carry, I think, a clear message that isolationism is impossible in an interconnected and interdependent world. Now more than ever, we need international awareness and understanding. We need to recognize our common humanity -- and the suffering that unites us -- with people everywhere of all races and cultures. And we need to understand the ways in which, for better or worse, our decisions affect others (and vice versa) around the world.
What greater victory could we hand the terrorists than to allow them to deprive us of our humanity, and to drive us to emulate them in isolating ourselves from world opinion?

Absolutely, I agree. If we saty in islolation, allowing our fear of death to consume us while we still are living, than those terrorists have won. They were martyrs, yet not the kind fighting in deathly situations against depressions or horrible governments. Willingly, they went onto their jihad(holy war) and died for their cause. But, they brought over two-thousand innocent lives with them. NOT JUST AMERICAN LIVES, but INNOCENT lives.
Traveling must continue, how else are we supposed to experience what others live with every single day? Learning about other cultures, countries, religions, and languages cannot stop, or else we have been defeated. Humanity can just call it quits if we are going to look at a few people, who did a monsterous thing, and then categorize and brand the rest of the people similar to them. What would the cauc-asian race in America do if they were still persecuted for slavery that took place over 400 years ago? Yes it was wrong, but are you going to hold it againt a whole population, when half of its people's ancestors were not even present in the country?
World issues must stay world issues, and not try to be solved by the more prosperous nations. Just as global warming is effecting our global village, so do the choices made by each individual country and its citizens. Stay involved and have no fear, that is how we will win.

Sitting still in our countries won't help our world by any means.
We, espacially the youth, must show that we are not going to give in our freedom for some terrorsists.
By travelling through the world we will be able to deliver a msg to every government, good or bad, and to every biased group that we will stay together to create a better furure for us and for the coming generations.
Our lives won't stop at September 11th!!
