Love

Maybe it's quite funny for some, but I'm bothered by this thought lately. I'm madly in love with this guy who seems to be just perfect. Everything I wanted is in him, I don't know why but I just can't stop myself from addressing this issue. It's really hard to be me, I mean falling in love with your same sex. I know it's not bad, what I do not know is how harder could it get?

it's an inordinate affection that need caution! Pls, do try as much as possible to pull your mind off it, else, it might lead you to greater sin which is contrary to the plan and will of God.

what's difficult is that the society which I am in is not yet ready to accept this kind of mutual intervention... Damn, the one I love is part of the society which I always wanted to change...

Well said Olo! I dont know what has become of this world to try and see a sin as something normal.

@dkaiyo.
So many things baffles me.
It's really amusing, that the world we are in, is fast putting God aside, and condemning anything that got to do with GOD. Is anything the matter? that the people who brought in the Bible to our doorstep, preached to us and enlightened our path unto godliness and faith in God, are the same sect of people who are turning their back against God, and professing that there is NO GOD! How weird is thier believe!. Sometimes, the world looks confusing and you wouldn't know who to believe nor follow.
Sin has become a NORM, and everyone has got 'good' reasons for their unjustified acts! Again, people no longer give a hoot for doing nasty things such as Suicidal Mission, Murder, Homosexualism, Prostitution, Forgery, Corruption, Fornication, etc.
But, it wasn't really so in some years back, I keep wondering, what the problem really is. . . ! Little wonder, the world is becoming empty. . .losing her peace each passing day, because there are just lots of people who have given in to self-doctrines and practises, which has bastardised the peace of others.
How soon have we forgotten God's law, that we now embrace Human Law and perspective to doing things, even if it were against God's wish and will.
If only, we could reverence our Creator-God once again, and give Him a place in our hearts and action. Then, shall we experience PEACE and not WAR, Justification and not CONDEMNATION, JOY and not SORROW.
These are my heart-felt views.
Much Love
Tosin

In the name of "human right" we have thrown out the Word of the Lord.
Empasis on many "freedoms" has led to the detoriation of morality.
Not that im against human rights but they have to some extent contributed to people accepting sin as a Norm.
I actully heard that in some Western country its actually a crime to do one to one evangelism its actally against the freedom of religion.....lol
I have found this to be absurd
God help us.......

I certainly do respect your opinion davyk. Pardon me for this, but I have to ask you one question. What if one day you woke up and found yourself falling in love with someone whom "God forbids" to be loved by you, let's say with someone of your same sex too. Would you let your GOD make you suffer the pain and give up the one you truly love or would you forget that you have a GOD in fighting for that special someone in your life, and oh let me add to that, what if you knew that your special someone whom your GOD forbids to be loved also loves you?
My point here is; sometimes people tend to give out their opinions on some issues which they do not fully understand. I believe that in order for someone to really understand my point, he/she must put his/her foot on my shoe. That's the real problem of the world now, not moral deprivation but more of UNDERSTANDING things. What I feel is the language that needs no words and the only language that the world could possibly understand.

Love is love. Why does it matter what gender you are. People hide there identiy just so they wont get picked on or so there family doesnt disown them. Just go on how you feel. If you like someone thats your same gender then you like them.

I definitely agree with the last couple points, and feel that in such an agreement you might also find the ultimate argument against those who would try to condemn the love that you are having such difficulty with by evoking Gods name and claiming that it's sin.
All around the world and throughout history, the ideas of God and religion have been used to commit some of the worst atrocities we could ever imagine. Someone above mentioned how "years back" people had values and faith in God, I believe that such years included things like the Spanish Inquisition, centuries of senseless murder by the Spanish catholic church in the name of Jesus and often for nothing more than someone accusing someone else of being a witch for no better reason than they didn't like how they looked. God and religion are very powerful ideas that, if believed and evoked incorrectly, lead to a complete ignorance and rejection of responsibility and love we owe to one another worldwide.
It is not a sin to love anybody whether of your own sex or the opposite, what is a "sin" is to believe that such love should be restricted by shallow ideas like gender, race, religion, or cultural differences. If God is love, then we are all and each God through the love we feel for one another beyond our invisible, man made boundaries.
They world is big, if where you are doesn't like how you feel, then find somewhere that does.
Love on.

You're right, and i understand your stance. Love should be shown to all regardless of the gender. But, study has shown us that there are different kinds of love.
Storge Love the warm affection that parents have toward their children, A deep and abiding affection.
Eros Love is the desire to draw out all that is good, beautiful and true. It is motivated by need. Refers primarily to sex. It involves romantic kind of love.
Philia Love is a friendship love. It is not sexual in nature.
Agape Love is the selfless love for others. It is sacrificial love - in which nothing is asked in return. This is the kind of love that everyone should pursue
Now back to our discuss, which of these do you think we shouldn't express to people of same sex? I'm just asking? Personally, I think there is crime when we show erotic love to people of same sex. It shouldn't be nurtured at all

well personally i find it absurd to classify love into different aspects. love is love isn't it? There's no need to determine what kind of love it is, why? Because no matter what kind of love it is, it's still love at the end of the day and it will never change. And what crime is it when we show erotic love to the same sex? Faith stops us all from asking questions and the society continues to blind us with the "moral norms" that it still wants to believe exists. Morality is something that only fools continue to cling on to and something that the wise dares contest.
