I received the news that Cde Thabo Mbeki has resigned with total shock and disbelief.
I now see that surely "a prophet has no honour in his own home town"
I wish our dear Cde all the best in his future endeavour but i must hasten to say this is a blow and
a loss to world politics at large.

I didn't like Mbeki. I didn't know much about him before the Zimbabwean Election Crisis, and in the
months after that hearing about him failing to get Mugabe to resign just disheartened me.
But after researching further, I'm not so sure that South Africa progressed with him in power.

dear friends
as i told in other dissussion also...i dont follow this news detail. I just know a little about
mbeki.
I think there is sumthing that i really dont know about him--and maybe the exact reason why it
happened.
maybe davyk can explain to me the real happened there
(i dont really believe news until i hear directly from them)

It was never Mbeki's mandate to have Mugabe resign my friend.
