Seven years on and the 'war on terror' rages on.No Bin Ladin, no weapons of mass destruction,no solution to the Palestinian question and a wider context of violence from Iraq to Somalia.
What is wrong with the concept of the war on terror?
Why are the results mitigated?
where for to peace and stability to this heartland-the middle east.
what directions for current world leadership?
What is the role of the young generation in building a culture of peace and sustaining a better future?
It is imperative to get a holistic picture to the pre-9/11 middle east and the fully grasp all the levels of political, diplomatic, religious nad social dimensions of the Islamic ferment, the changing attitudes towards Israel nad the actions and mentality of pre-Bush White house American political mindset.
Beyond this level, one has to recognize the growing power of Iran and the brisk diplomacy of Syria, the Hezbollah and the Palestinian forces of Hamas.
Is the war on terror a success

Hello!
I believe the prospects of peace and stability are in the hands of the Arabs themselves- meaning only they can improve their societies, no outsider can do this for them.
I think today's youth play a critical role in changing their societies. It's time for change, people are fed up, let's move forward, open our minds and hearts to new ideas, learn from one another and build bridges of understanding. Education is so essential to cultivating these ideas for the improvement of societies.
