President Mugabe was once known to be a Pan Africanist of the likes of Kwame Nkumah,Haile Sellasie,Steven Biko etc. But now he can be described as one of the worst leaders the African contenent has ever had. This goes to show that individual ideologies could be capricious so care should be taken to amend constitutions that do vest complete power in the president:angry

No i think this is what happens to a leader who has chooses to defy the dictates of the west!
In Ghana where you are he was received (the last time he was there) by a large crowds who saluted his stance against the west.Lumumba was in the same category.
Mugabe is called names not because he is bad but he took the LAND from the whites and gave it to the blacks that made him a hero in africa and the rural populace of Zimbabwe.Remember Mandela was once called a terrorist until sometime LAST MONTH by the same people who are calling Mugabe names.
When Mandela was fighting apatheid he was a terrorist and same Mugabe is fighting neocolonialism and he is called a dictator.
Saddam only became a dictator when he defied the US and they hang him but people forget that he was made who he was by the west.
So the issue is not about the names he is being called because to me Mugabe is still my HERO.
Show me an African leader who has done that to the imperialists and i will show you Mugabe. Nkurumah, Lumumba and others are in that same bracket and see what happened to them-coup and killed.
Mugabe is the only voice left to speak against the imperialists!
