[Poll] Uganda resorting to war to end over 20 years of war in Nothern Uganda!

The government of Uganda has resorted to a military approach to end the war in Northern Uganda which has lasted for over 20 years leaving thousands dead and others homeless!
This comes after the failed peace talks which had dragged on for over two years.
What worries me is the fact that, the military option failed to end the war for over 20 years, what guarantee is there that it will work this time?
Am really worried for my fellow Citizens in Northern Uganda!
WILL THE MILITARY APPROACH END TO 23 YEAR CONFLICT IN NORTHERN UGANDA?

Is the fighting because of the LRA ? I feel any military rule even though temporary will not stop this war because for a while fighting may be kept under control. But tensions will always be simmering underneath. Its such a terrible situation for ordinary civilians when wars take place because I think all people want to live in peace. How do ordinary people go about their lives in Uganda ? Is there peace in the South ?

Its indeed unfortunate that innocent civilians have to live in fear again after over two decades of turmoil in the Northern Region of the Country.
People in the south are peaceful although occasionally, there have been reports of presence of ADF Rebels threatening to attack. Otherwise, there are no confirmed reports of instability in other parts of the country so far.
My prayer is that the Government commits itself fully to the peace process so that some level of trust can be build among the LRA rebels, otherwise, if they continue with threats of igniting the war is the rebels fail to comply, i think they are building castles in the air!
