Solidarity Experience
15th – 24th July 2008, Cracow, Poland
Viviamo! Camp is an annual project of World Youth Alliance which aims at promotion of good practices effectively addressing local development concerns. Viviamo! aspires to give WYA members a lived experience of dignity.
Viviamo! Europe in 2008 will highlight how individual commitment to solidarity can lead to establishment of free, just and peaceful societies. Grasping from the heritage of Polish history and culture we will be able to experience solidarity in its various dimensions: through debate upon history and philosophy, study of recent policy papers, daily charity work as well as encounter with one another.
Recognizing the need for solidarity between generations we want to put it into practice and learn how to built it in our local communities. The Solidarity experience will be a dynamic combination of seminars and workshops with daily volunteer work for children from unprivileged backgrounds and elderly in need. A variety of cultural events and field trips will be arranged for participants to enjoy the beauty of the place.
