[Poll] Will Peace ever follow war?
July 17, 2003 - 05:08 AM

Everywhere, I am hearing what American invasion of Iraq is doing to the people because they have no security. The existence of some innocent bystanders has been disrupted in our attempt to keep our own economy and way of life up to par. Where does it lead?

Peace after War
July 18, 2003 - 05:13 AM

In answer to your question, yes, I think that peace WILL follow war. I am not talking about the US/Iraq war in particular, nor do I have a certain war in mind when I say these words, but I generally speaking think that peace will always prevail in the end. When will this "end" be? God knows, maybe a year, two years, or even a couple of centuries away. The important thing is that this end will only happen when every nation gets what it deserves, when all the stolen rights come back to whom they belong, when the land goes back to its people. Sadly, this will never take place except by war. That's because "real peace" is based on justice not weakness.

I do think that there will be PEace and i do agree when Nourhan said"this end will only happen when every nation gets what it deserves, when all the stolen rights come back to whom they belong, when the land goes back to its people. Sadly, this will never take place except by war. That's because "real peace" is based on justice not weakness."

But we must all fight 4 it and unite 4 it!!
Its not only about IrAQ its also about palestine ,palestine has been suffering 4 years and ISRAEL has taken over with no right, and bl00d has been shed and Children have been killed and its like hell on earth, but they will get what they deserve at the end!!

May god help the Weak and Weaken the STRONG that have stolen people's rights and ..........etc. You guys got my point!!smile

I would love to say that YES peace will always follow war but what i watch everyday on the news doesn't show that.
The "war" in Iraq is over and also in Plaestine u can't call what's going on of killing and destroying of houses a real "war" but still with the same results.
Iraq is turning into another Palestine where it's pretty normal for ppl to get killed daily..
Unless the governmants sit together and set their priorities by agreeing that the life of one single child is much more precious than any other consideration..there will be no peace..

bottel neck

Time is running out. i think peace is a so far thing to talk about now for iraq. they still had alot to do.. from their local services and government. and untill the american -british occupation leave. and then the problem of having realtions with other arab countires.
and the problem of trust.
and the nightbours role in development and commercial matters.
and then the problem of relations wiht isarel.
then we can think of peace with whom.. while there is untllnow 82 poltical party in iraq.. while britan for example don`t have that no.
how come..!
anyway
i wish peace could come. but i feel there is a civil war coming up and alot of work to get out of this bottle neck.

It would, but costy one

Peace would follow or let me say may follow the current cycle of violence.

But lets not forget that , it wont be a peace that would be that tasty!
It would be something after so much of sufferings and loose of life for the Iraqis , specialy the Civilians.
Let me just give an example, the Iragi Kid Ali an injured victim of a bomb that killed whole his family is some how feeling good now and is fair conditions , he has his personaly peace to an extent now, but will he ever forget the death of his parents because of the Bomb?

He has gone through special treatment and care, under taken b the British Aid Agenceis , and painted as a good work by media (which it is) but will he forgive the British army or any army that was involved in the war during which he lost all his family? I dont think he would , unless a miracl happens t occure.

Now even if peace follows after war, the wounds of war are so deep that you can never relax or feel good even in some how peace, its from my personal experience we have a relatively peaceful situation now , but even then its not comfortable or satisfactory nor we think its worth all the sufferings that resulted in bringing about this peace.
