Wow! Were not we being told time and again that Iran does not need nuclear energy since Iran has so much oil?? I even remember once being told about that here at tig. Now, consider that Saudi Arabia has more oil than Iran. So, where is that argument?

U.S. President George W. Bush, visiting the Saudi capital on Friday, hoped to formalize new agreements that would give the relationship between the two countries a boost.
Among them was an agreement for the U.S. to assist the kingdom in developing civilian nuclear power. Another agreement involves U.S. promises to help protect any Saudi nuclear infrastructure with training, the exchange of experts and other support services as needed. Hadley said it would not involve U.S. troops. ..........

I didn't give humanity a chance of surviving for another 50 years, but it seems Bush decided to accelerate and bring about the Second Coming of Christ much sooner than it would have otherwise been organically possible.
Bravo Bush!!
One last ditch!

US can do anything for OIL from killing, sponsoring coups hiding behind democracy and governance issues
thats hypocricy at its best. But the Saudi must be aware US has no permanent friends but interests!
Saddam was once their friend,so was Osam look what they did or are doing now.
Isnt that they themselves have those nukes?
According to US you are not wrong for as long as you are a "a friend" of theirs thats pathetic indeed

Now this is called real EVIL ! US asks for OIL by offering Nuclear Power to Saudi.
Elemental you are happy for such an EVIL act of Bush! now i can see your real face. When it comes to US national interest then Nuclear Power means business and if it comes to Iran interest of getting Nuclear Power then the Nuclear Power will ruin the world.
