I've been wondering lately if the MDG's are been implemented in Malawi. i heard that some youths are involved in some radio shows where they discuss the MDG's like i heard students from the university of Malawi go to the district assemblies and help in youth oriented projects:. but that is as far as i know. does someone have more information than me? can somebody tall me what is really supposed to happen? what role does the common youth have in the MDG's?

Most of the MDGs require the effort of government. Government is the key stakeholder in achieving MDGs. Students and the rest of us can only assist in implementing what has been laid down as means of achieving the MDGs. For instance, one goal says the countries should reduce cases of malaria and HIV Aids. How can the youth help in reducing that? They will have to learn the means of achieving this, then can only help in taking the message to the rural masses. This could include telling the masses that they can prevent spreading TB by isolating patients and taking thenm to hospital each time they suspect something.
