Very true but I'm not an atheist.
If Islam would like to prevent what they feel is defamation within their own nations, that certainly is their right. But the effort to isolate the word “defamation” as if it were to apply only to Islam is an aggressive violation of what the freedom of religion should mean. Will Islam refrain from defaming Israel and Judaism? Will they refrain from defaming India and Hinduism? Will they refrain from defaming unbeliever’s generally? Is that even a possibility? Or would they see such a refusal to defame the unbeliever as a basic assault on Islam?

It is certainly against our religion to defame or say anything bad about other religions, especially Judaism and Christianity. However, just like we say you can, if some Jews go around killing our people of course we will be enraged. If the Muslims attack someone innocent then their people should be enraged. Why should we criticise the religion for the actions of its people when the religion clearly condemns the actions of its people?
If you aren't an atheist then what are you?

Or simply the faith?
Why?

Again, not a single quote from any Islamic scripture that supports tyranny and hatred. That was just a site with some fool ranting on about how to justify his anti-Islamic sentiments. Its just like someone else hating how the Israelis are killing many, but how can you blame Judaism? Zionism isn't really Judaism, the original Judaism says that Israel is prohibited for the Jews.

Your looking for quotes from the Qu'ran that say what? How Islam was spread by the sword?
Islam is a political philosophy much more than it is a transcendental religious prescription. There are many commandments to violence, submission of non-muslims, and an overall state goal to spread Islam above all other beliefs.

Thanks expat. *
@ Robert, the Quran was not written by any human, even that Evangelical Reverand Swaggart said it has no literary equal. It was a revelation from Allah (SWT) to Muhammad (S).
Allah iln anak Robert.

why is a discussion on religion in a Universal Declaration on Human Rights thread?
As a catholic we are taught "judge not lest we be judged"
there s a argument that christianity is started by cannibal cult who ate people
there is a lot of blood on christianity's hands

There intertwined and it's the direction the conversation has taken.

That's a very good quote -thanks for sharing.

I'd like to see that and even if it were true Christianity has certainly progressed over the yrs. Unlike the current head chopping of Islam

Prophet Muhammed (S) committed genocide? Please at least give a place and time for your propaganda. *
Oh, and point out those "errors" in the Quran too while you are at it.
So how has Christianity progressed? Accepting adultery and fornication is a sign of progression?
