Knowing the intense suffering that millions face everyday while I lead a comfortable middleclass life safe in the U.S. Seeing poverty strike in every crack in every population that it will be ignored. Watching the environment being polluted and ripped apart as if it does not effevt everyone's life. Knowing that I can help to save something somewhere or someone someplace. Those are all ITs for me.

Like you guys say in America, I feel you! while commending the likes of you for still having a conscience, its nice to know you are ready to talk about it... I am a Nigerian, one of those allegedly doing well, I feel for a lot of people that are missing out in the revolution, IT that is, we only hope to work hard and hope that the likes of africa will find her footing and liberate her suffering masses through the use of this IT... especially the younger ones among us...

This is a very important topic. The youth for Somaliland whom we represent would like to share this with you. However, one of the obstacles is language barrier. IT for Somaliland Youth is about sharing information especially for sports and youth empowerment to rebuild the nation. In the near future we will update you on the Somaliland Youth Sports the only sports that has no language barrier across the globe.
Youth are the nation's pillars and hopefully TakingITGlobal will sponsor a worldwide tour where they visit every country around the globe physically so that those who are marginalised can see the vast opportunities TakingITGlobal is doing.

I came to this website hoping to begin my "crusade" (of sorts). My goal is ot begin (at the young age of 16)9 to start saving lives of unborn children...yes...to help stop (or if nothing else....slow down abortion rates) abortion. I have a passion about it and it saddens me to know how many unborn innocent live are murdered e/day!! i hope i get some responces to this!! thanks for reading!!

well i think before u can successfully preach IT (it's use and importance) to anyone, they have to be in the right frame of mind. so IT to me is putting food on the table of some poor kids out there, giving them basic education and letting them know that the world out there is waiting for them.

IT is anything and everything, but I think most importantly, IT is what drove every person on here to get involved, to speak up and make a difference. IT is motivation, passion, drive and change. There is some IT in everyone, and it needs only to be realized. The world is a better place because all you know you have IT and you are ready to use IT.

For me It is peace, it is establishing that thing which we should have yet so many people try to destroy. IT is finding people who are the same as you, who have the same vision as you, who don't let the land or ocean that is between us make a difference. IT is meeting new friends, supporting each other - working together.

yeah. it's true. i learned to become an accountant. got a masters degree in Commerce. But now working as a webmaster though i haven't learned any courses from any institute, in computer. it is so strange(may not be for you)
Internet is the place from where i learned a lot of things. Honestly.. at the beginning, i was using it as a place to find some pornographic pictures. that was because of that age i believe. later i started to use it as a good communication media. and then a good place to learn things from. and it became an obsession.. later when i learned to design web pages, i felt i am also one among those who make the web work.. though my contribution may be a couple of html tags. and now..IT is my livelihood.
it saves a lot of money on my telephone bill..

Reaching out to People at all corners of world

For me, IT is reaching out to people of all corners of the world. Majority of the world population doesn not come from the affluent society. There are many undernourished children dying everyday, people ding of Wars, landmines, Natural calamities, diseases, etc. This is not restricted to any country. Its spread al over the world. Racial discrimination, Sexual Harrasments, all these are some more problems.
We cannot put an end to these immediately, but certainly yes in the long run. And, for that, we have to stand united. It is here that IT helps us all. If not for IT, I wouldnto have been sending this message that has chance to be viewed by atleast 100 members.
