Why learn?
April 21, 2008 - 07:28 PM

Why do you learn things? new things? old things?

What drives anyone to learn something he/she didn't know before? Is it curiosity, need or?

Many prehistoric tribes and groups of people live lifes in many cases more rewarding and happier than those who spent lifetime in front of books and now computers.

Why do you learn?

We all live and learn..

Learning is the most important thing to a human to make a human... A human can not do anything without learning.. I mean human is not a human without learning.. If God gave a brain to human being, we should think, search and learn something...
Learning is sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way. There is a word in education, "you can make a child a good person, also you can make a child a bad person too (thief, murderer..)" Human brain arrange all these things.. Environment (family, friends..), genetic factors, society...
Science was born of curiosity nerdy, but also there are other reasons too.. like needs, life conditions, health, a more comfortable life, understanding of nature of science...
We, human being started learning with birth and will learn untill death..
In conclusion, learning is a process between birth & death and meaning of life.

You may as well ask, "Why breathe?" To learn is to exist, failure to learn is to cease to exist. We either get busy living, or get busy dying.
