Exorcism certainly is real, as for whether it works, and whether demons exist, I don't know.
The article raises a good point: that exorcism may be exacerbating mental illness. So perhaps people aren't getting the psychiatric treatment they need.
Exorcism is apparently filling a vacuum that previously existed, ie these people did not have access to the mental health facilities that they needed. I wonder why. Could it be because they can't afford the healthcare, or because there's a stigma attached to mental illness or even because not much has been done to inform people about the prevalence of mental illness in the community? Could it be because psychiatric remedies are not working?
Sounds like somebody needs to ask these hard questions and to get the answers to them.
Is it possible to get the psychiatrists and priests to work together instead of working against each other?

i think it is a real thing, exocism, but in our times now. In our present system of things, no one has the god given power fo be able to perform such a thing.
