To contribute to this issue, I'm sugesting that the major key to improve economy is to educate people so that they can actively contribute to better enconomic growth of a nation and the world, with this, government can then easily know and trace where to invest in people for lucrative returns and obviously every person has his or her own tarlent which can better discover through learning/education. So when people are engaged properly on what the know best the can do, not only will they enjoy working but will help improve good enconomy

After doing some search i found that for the economy of a country the most important factors or may be the important factors that can effect the economy of a country are as folloowing:
1. Education
2. Employement
3. An active government to make certain rules, apply them and make the nation to follow it
4. Working for longer period (more working hours)
5. Utilizing scarce resources efficiently and effectively
I would like to share this info with you and any comment or suggestion will be appriciated.
Note: The factors are not ordered according to their importance.

Dear Wattan
you selected a brillaint topic i really appreciate.
There are two Major factors for determinining and measuring the economy of the country.
These are: 1. GDP 2. GNP
1.GDP (Gross Domestic Product):
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is the most commonly used indicator of national income. It attempts to measure the sum of incomes received by the various wealth creating sectors of the economy: manufacturing, agriculture, service industries.
2. GNP (Gross National Product)
Measuring a country's wealth
A crude measure of a country's wealth is Gross National Product (GNP) per capita: the figure for GNP divided by the population.
In order to compare GNP per capita across countries there is the need to use a common currency. Most international institutions like the World Bank use the US dollar for this purpose.
But this may give a misleading picture of how much an individual in a particular country can actually purchase in his own currency. Many of the transactions which make up the income of an economy are not traded internationally.
and the belows some factors which can help the growth and development of the country.
1. Education ( Number of PHDs Produces by country)
2. Infrastructure ( Education System, Electricity, Water Supply, Communication System, Transportation, Roads, Housing, Etc.....)
3. Employment and Unemployment
note: the aboves are not all the factors

Assalamu Aleykum my Afghani friends,
I am answering for ur question about what can contribute to the country's economic development.
One thing that is important to understand is find out the comparative advantage of a country which is one country can produce a product much cheaper than other countries so it can export and earn profit which is big contribution to country's economy.
As far as I understood you were talking about Afghanistan. If think about Afghanistan, as some of u mentioned, it needs education.
Yes, education and technological improvements are the main indicators of an economy.
I don't know what exact advantages Afghanistan has, but if you could give me any information as to see what the country needs to do in order to develop its economy.
Best,
Oktam

Another thing that must be done is empower the people so that they own the means of production eg land.Combine this with education and other resources we can have a prosperous nation.
but you cant do it with people like these below (follow the link)
[link="http://www.herald.co.zw/inside.aspx?sectid=34015&cat=10&livedate=5/10/2008"]
This agenda was outlined by former US assistant secretary of state for African Affairs in the Reagan administration, Chester Crocker, who in a foreign policy testimony to the US Senate in 2001, said "to separate the Zimbabwean people from Zanu-PF we are going to have to make their economy scream, and I hope you senators have the stomach for what you have to do."
Crocker’s words, a carry-over from the utterances of the then secretary of state Henry Kissinger who said the US had to make the Chilean economy scream in order to topple the left-wing government of Salvador Allende in 1973, culminated in the drafting of the US sanctions law, the so-called Zimbabwe Democracy and Economic Recovery Act that was signed into law by George W. Bush.

To be honest i really dont know about all these politics so much but thanks for sharing the information
whereas you asked this
''is it true i hear that Japan has a 60% ownership policy? All foreign investors have to form joint partnerships with the locals and and will own 40% of the company. If so has it benefited the economy?''

Dear friends
I think that most important thing i mean to which the priority must be given is "peace" Because if there is peace in the country they can solve whatever the problem would be but if there is no peace like in Afghanistan they will never get a chance to do so ..
So Please try to bring peace in the world
