POPULATION GROWTH??

I'd like to open a debate about growth.
World Demographic growth is the key variable that's creating most of the sustainability problems affecting the world.
None talks about that, but I think Demographic growth is not in the interest of middle and lower classes.
It's in the interest of the elites. These are the reasons:
*Military. It's simple: more people, more soldiers, and a greater army than your neighbors.
*Economic. A growing population means more labour power and so lower wages.
An economic environment with low wages is not a stimulus for risky technological investments.
Furthermore, more people, means a growing consumer market.
*Religious/Political: more people means more followers.
What do you think?
