How Did You Discover TIG.

I'm just curious you know, because ever since I joined this great site, it's been pleasurable/informative all through. (don't you think so?)
Here is my story, lol. . . .
I saw the term 'GYAN' on a friend's website as a Partner Organization to her NGO, and i wondered what on earth does GYAN stood for. So, I decided to google it out and I was offered a lot of web links. Hopefully , I got the GYAN link and browsed through to become a member organization! But alast, i discovered that I just couldn't be a part of GYAN, without been a member of TIG. Hence, I was redirected to TIG?  At first, i felt "why all the redirection and prerequisite!" I never knew it was a better pathway for me, so i joined TIG!
And here I am today. . .it's been adventuous you know? 
So, may i ask you, How did you discover TIG? Did a friend invite you or what? I'd love to hear your "story" too. LOL.

Nice question actually 
Well my story with TIG , I was surfing the net and checking the "chattheplanet" site as I liked its programm on T.V. and through it I found TIG and liked it the first minute I checked and so became a memeber .

I learned about TIG through a couple friends, and then joined to help moderate this discussion board as a virtual volunteer!

hhmmpp..
one day, in one of our boring lectures in my previous work, i was vising the voices of youth site and then it asked me to go to a site...and its TIG...
and now, TIG through members inspiring stories i decided to finally take the risk this time and go for something im passionate about..
i hope i can make it this time...

I discovered TIG at a international youth meeting on ICT and Agriculture that was being held in Holland.
At that meeting there were a number of presentations but the TIG one by a member in Nigeria, i cant remember her name, stood out when she spoke of how they were using the site and the impression and impact TIG was having in Nigeria and i felt that it was something i could contribute too.
As soon as i returned home, i went on the net, googled it in or was it yahoo, lol, i cant remember, but i found the site, joined up, became active and pretty soon i was all over its web pages.
I took a break from the site, not because i wanted to but because internet access became difficult, change of address and related issues but now i am back and tryin to be as active as before

A friend of mine from Amnesty used it as his personal blog site and recommended it to me. I'm happy that he did. It's a great place to network, share opinion and learn from others who have great ideas to share, wherever they may be in the world. I also love the communal aspect of being able to voice opinion and band together with people from all walks of life toward a common goal. Thanks TIG! I'll continue to recommend you in kind.

I never wanted to join any site, but one day, when a friend of my showed it to me, i decided to take a risk and i joined it, because it looked safe, nice and friendly and most importantly, it looked like a site for an "inteligent ppl", not like others where it didn't matter at all about the certain world issues to discuss.

My spanish teacher made accounts for my class on this site so that we could have discussions that had intellecual qualities to them(plus she puts our assignments on here).

i was borad one day so i want some random video on tv and it was tailking about tig it was in the spring i saty at home doring the school year we have AOL dialup so now its summer im at my nanas house with road runner i signed up yesterday so far its the best website ever!!!

I discovered TIG by reading Wikinomics by Don Tapscott. I thought this website sounded like a really good idea, so I joined, yesterday.

I was browsing the web for youth site and ran into TIG. I was surprised of all it had, a place you can be heard and discussed across the board. I recommend this site to anyone teens especially.
