innovative win-win business models

There is a rapidly growing breed of new business models with a double-dividend: alleviating poverty whilst at the same time being financially sustainable (profitable). This goes to show that with the right frameworks and by radically rethinking the business model, there are clear win-win solutions for business to create value whilst following a sustainable development agenda.
A great illustration of this is given by N-Logue's rural connectivity model (see http://www.digitaldividend.org/pdf/nlogue.pdf)
If a business model is at best a metaphor, how can we make sure these case study success stories are replicated?

Thanks! I've been looking for info on social entrepreneurship after attending an eye-opening youth conference here.
Have you seen http://www.orphanIT.com and http://www.globalknowledge.org ?
