Now that is a very very loaded question.

No one can say that all things digital are all that bad, but at the same time, no one can say that all things non-digital are bad either. It all has a place, a reason to be, and a function. Some things are better accomplished with the help of digital tools, others... aren't.

For example: No one can deny that the digital version of a CD or record is much more convinient to hear on the go. On the other hand, in cinema, even with all the HD mambojambo (sorry if anyone is upset by this!!), 35MM film is still top of the line, and it's an analog system of image capturing. However, once that image is captured on film, it is MUCH more convinient to make a digital version of it to edit, than to do it on an offline editing table. On the other hand, having the skills to edit offline, and edit it WELL is mind blowing, and with every passing day, becomes more rare. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but being able to master both online and offline editing would be rather brilliant.

It really all depends on the tool, the use, the results... it all has its upsides and downsides.
