Explanation: If you think about it realistically, other countries do have a say in U.S. elections because its all about contacts and support when you're running. The popular vote in presidential elections doesn't count so it becomes an issue of who's say is the one really making an effect.

Although I don't agree this is right, U.S. politics seem to be selfish and is more about personal gain and how much you can get away with. If they can find a way to collaborate with another country to keep peace and have it be profitable then they are all for it because it'll make the country look good. Unfortuneately, that is rarely the case. Non-profit organizations in the U.S. pick up the slack on issues that the government fails to address. I personally think the government would be more likely to but the opinions of other countries they partner in trade far before the countries they partner in peace. The countries the U.S. may partner in peace seem to be saved for occassions that more positive PR is needed from the public.
