What is your experience

I am an ICT student living in Malawi in Central Africa. I have passion for ICT developments taking palce in my country where the youths blood are on the fire front in every ICT projects.
I have always seen ICT conferences being advertised on TIG website and am always earger to attend these functions as they are benefintial to both my country as it is making strides in the ICT sector and also to myself as i would gain knowledge pertaining to ICT issues after having attended these gathering.
My experience so far has been that most of these conferences always have some fee attached to them which needs one to pay before attending. This is a big blow to a young fellow like myself as i can't manage to foot the fees, so i want to find out from those who have attended such conferences so far how do you manage to source these requested fees.
I hope my question will be answered as we are hear to learn share our experiences and forge ahead.
