I agree completely with justin, but i thynk since we refuse to listen we will have to take action ourselves and make them recognize us. (Nothing extreme please people) but as Youths we must all take a stand. Whether we all go sleep in front of the UN or we make an incredibly huge petition list, we must do something. We must act(passively, again, nothing extreme) within the confines of the law we must act to show them the planet will soon be in our hands so we intend to start looking out for it from now. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- !xotîz

Hi,I would like the UN to get in touch with the local communities where most of the youth are.
The local communities understand very well the climate changes that have been taking place and are one who feel the impact most in their day to day lives.
The youth, with adequate awareness and sufficient information are ready to take practical action and to engage in activities aimed at reversing changes in climate and weather patterns.

no sir my suggetion at this point in time is that in terms of the climate change we will need to acquire better skills and enhance these skills into a wide range by applying a sense of perspective towards the climate change as much as this will require profession from chemistry.working through in the labolatries at the lab sir on different types of formulars combining gases certain types of chemicals that will be able minimise global warming and the greenhousegases as well displacing chemicals from sasol and carbon monoxide as much as they say that it has a lot of effect on global warming and also developing technology.[quote]

well its concern to the sort of problem that we face because of climate impact. The old story should not be repeated. i guess the right thing that we need to address is that the recession on the carbon emission should not be lower and as matter of fact the impacted zone like in south east Asia Indonesia Nepal has been vulnerable and loosing the lives of many .
what they support for them ask about it ?
they believe what they see ! so how they could be interacted if it concern to their livelihood .
what would be the ground base strategy to cope with its impact. will it be fruit full like NAPA as concern to the resource mobilization.
what would the young as us! can contribute to them as for their adaptation?
What is the source that we gain so that we could put more effort in combating climate like implementation and research based.
thats it

Here is our opportunity to take part in the Copenhagen Conference -
The Global Youth Panel!
The most important environmental conference of the decade will take place in Copenhagen in December. Debatewise, an online debating website, in conjunction with The British Council and IDEA, call on everyone who understands the importance of the summit to take their place on the Global Youth Panel.
The aim is to create a one-thousand strong focus group of young, proactive and passionate debaters to have their say on what happens in Copenhagen. Members of the panel will debate the issues as they arise, and other members will vote on the points that have been made. You can participate as much or a little as you like and will take place totally online.
This is a unique opportunity to play your part in a very important global event, the consequences of which will have a huge impact on the world you’re about to inherit. It is your right to have your say and to be heard. Let your leaders know what you think by joining our panel here:
To sign-up visit htpp://www.debatewise.info/cop15
Please also invite any you know who may be interested in this amazing opportunity as well.
Debatewise (www.debatewise.com) is a not for profit online debating

Personally I do not believe in having a debate in which you talk about what is to/should be done but nothing is done.I hope This Debate would make the voice of the youth the world over heard. Not just heard but given a critical consideration.I wish everything goes on well then we look forward to copenhagen with the hope that our leaders make the right decisions in which there is a mutual benefit,Africa must make her voice loud and clear because in spite of the fact that she produces the least carbon emissions she faces the greatest hazards of climate change.THE TIME IS NOW OR NEVER.

I think that the UN needs to plan for more action and less talk. At the rate that we are going now, we need to think much more large scale and fast.
Humans have made such a mess and have realized late. We NEED to do something faster.
Regarding the Kyoto Protocol, why should only developed country helped the developing. The whole organization and all nations should be working together. This is a global issue. All nations should be working together to make changes globally rathar than just for their country. The UN shoulod be involved in raising money for the new green initiatives. Money seems to be what is in the way of developing countries.
In short, the UN needs to raise more money, come up with more initiatives that can be met in a shorter time, and propose LARGE SCALE!!!

I really wish our world wasn't becoming so dependent on all the technologies of the world. Most people do not realize how bad a lot of these things can be for the environment whether it is through the process of making them or through the use of them.
The youth of our world are really going to see some drastic changes over their life times and soon enough the world will not be the same place. I wish there was much more being done for the environment and our local communities, but with the lack of people willing to put the effort we are making it hard for them when they become older. Our world is becoming reliant on the simple things and not having to strive as hard as they use too, which is teaching the youth bad habits right from the start.
Our economies were striving 40-50 years ago. Everyone worked hard for what they had, and the environment was not as damaged as it is today. Hopefully the youth of our world make a difference before there is no world left. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Christine Culley
