I was amazed at the turn out in Berlin. 72% say they would vote for Obama.
That begs the question: Why do the German people have such an affinity for the cult of personality. Given their recent history you would think that more than 28% might take pause and say,"Hey, wait a second...remember the last time we came to watch a really good speaker and and everyone cheered and then Poland got invaded and a whole bunch of Jews got sent to band camp or something?" ACHTUUUUUNG!!!!!!

I kick out of Obama's prayer being "stolen" (wink, wink). I was reading an article on someone who has read prayers left in the wailing wall. Most of them are prayers that are human. like, "Please God, help me loose 40 pounds." Or "Help me God, I need to make more money. " Thats how humans pray. We ask to be helped with out needs. The only time someone prays eloquently is if it's intended to be heard or read by others. And usually not on stationary from the King David Hotel.

We are very far from US (afghanistan) but still conserned about Us elections.
because circumstances are so ...
i believe that President in US do not make war or peace with others , but still a false hope arises in me that the upcomming presedent maye change his policies regarding our country..
but change is not always beneficial some time can be very worst .
Let us hope for a Better change !

Haha xD Don't worry, I don't think Obama is going to be the next Hitler--and there's definitely no "cult of personality" along the lines of what Hitler or Stalin had in their primes. People love him, sure, but people hate him as well.

Wishing both candidates good luck, though only one will go through-I can't predict who to change America.
Good luck to Americans, may free and fair elections be upon you.

Its a "YES" and "NO" thing here coz its 50/50 issue.
It can be YES, coz its now 35 years since King Luther died and been black he always talked about CHANGE of which now OBAMA seem to continue the CHANGE or LEGACY king Luther left.
It can also be NO, coz not many whites are in support for Obama.
Anyway, I don't know...coz this US issue has reached climax stage.
Just wishing all the best to both.

i just hope we will not have the repeat of the 2000 election which brought BUSH to power.
Everyone know AL GORE won that election from the opinion polls to the popularity vote. Then there was this electoral college decision or was it the Supreme Court decision.
Some care to explain how the US system works.

Notwithstanding, significant political developments taking place in Zimbabwe, the US government has reinstituted biting sanctions against the Government of Zimbabwe. Now that an inclusive government in Zimbabwe has been formed, the foreign policy position of the Obama administration should stop aping the Bush-era policies but must be premised on constructive engagement not splendid isolation as currently obtaining. Although the implementation of the GPA by the 3 main parties in Zimbabwe, the inclusive govt has a responsibility to create a conducive environment for business and ordinary citizens to exercise and enjoy their rights.
Thus, the new approach of the Obama government to engage in diplomatic talks with countries like Iran and Cuba must be reciprocated to Zimbabwe, without prejudice.

The Obama government has not initiated an approach that is any different from the policies of Bush. The policy in fact is even worse in regard to Afghanistan, with a greater commitment of troops and resources for the killing and taming of innocents.
With regard to Zimbabwe, both the policies of State Department and Intelligence agencies will not change. It is the intent of the US to get a government in Zimbabwe friendly to US and UK interests. As Obama was financed and put on an election platter by the same interests (banks, military, oil) that financed Bush, it is illogical to be suprised that Obama is acting differently.

Indeed, the Obama government must enter into 180 degrees of policy changes as regards its engagement with all its trading and social partners. As such, Zimbabwe needs to be allowed its rightful place in the international arena as opposed to the present state where US is seen warming up to China and being confrontational, aggressive and vindictive towards Zimbabwe, Iran, Palestine, Sudan and North Korea. Obama must hold high the banner of constructive engagement and peaceful solution finding not worsening the world's collective interest. We need Peace, security and prosperity for all.
