Kafir - every religion suggests that its followers are "better" more rightous - whatever.

Christianity says that if you aren't Christian you are going to Hell. The Jews are the Chosen People -

I agree. Which is why, of course, we see Jews running into crowds of moslem civilians every day to explode into a fiery ball of bone shards, shrapnel, and soft tissue for YHVH, and why we regularly see Christians videotaping themselves as they cut off the head of a bound and living moslem while maniacally yelling: Jesus is great! Jesus is the greatest! It's also why every draconian Levitical law is painstakingly adhered to by all by all pious Jews and Christians.

Come on, Luke, there is something that differentiates religious faiths.

My opinion is that as it relates to islam, this is what we are up against: a potent sociopolitical religious ideology with consummate hostility and offensive warfare against the out-group of unbelievers as one of its principal tenets and instruments of propagation.

Am I wrong? Go to the KSA, Iran, Egypt, etc., etc., and see just how warmly your faith is embraced.

christianity had it's own dark time--the crusades. no religion has a perfect history because Man is so often corrupt and greedy. but there are good people who believe and follow those beliefs without hurting others. i've heard people say that religion is the reason for the world's problems, but it is the greedy and corupt who twist religion into something cruel that are behind so much suffering. right now, Islam isn't getting the best reputation, but i have seen many good peaceful muslims. it is the corrupt and cruel who are ruining the reputation. just think of this--many members of the KKK claim to be christians. are they the representation of all christisians? definatly not.

Dear contributors to this thread, I did not start this discussion for my faith (Islam) to be insulted, criticised or mis-represented. Neither did I start the thread as a platform upon which some of you can insult anybody, any faith or any ideology. Many religions in the world today are having their own difficulties in their own ways and it is not for outsiders who do not understand the nature of the faith to use short-sighted binoculars to evaluate them. Many people have spoken the truth already, A FANATIC IS A FANATIC! Lets allow the matter rest there or else we risk to be targets of unnecessary hatred for sharing our "opinions" ignorantly on matters we do not completely understand.
My motivation for this thread came from the knowledge that most (if not all) the great presidents America has had in the past are fondly remembered for something UNIQUE. I was very sure that George W. Bush also knows this. So, I was wondering what he would want to be fondly remembered for, given the so many "interesting" developments during his tenure, due to his actions or in-action (as the case may be), Simple!
Could we restrict our discussions to this please, while taking the other issues elsewhere?
I think the warning from TIG has already set the agenda straight again, lets hear your views then, ok?
