I've never been to a fortune teller, but I think if you truely believe in something it's bound to happen. SO if you do go to a fortune teller and you do believe what they say, than it will happen. In the end you have ultimate control over your own destiny.

You can never tell what our brains hold in their slimy depths. Considering the average person only uses about 10-12% of their brain, who are we to judge another's ability. I am not saying that fortune tellers are authentic or even real, but you never know do you?

They lie even when they tell the truth

I would just like to add a religious perspective to all this talking about fortune tellers..
In the Quraan Allah said that we should never believe fortune tellers coz they will be lying even if at a time they happen to tell us something that fits the truth.
In my opinion, these are stupid games just like those weird chain letters u get in your email inbox each time..
Come on ppl..

well, what i know is that there was a french fortune teller in the 16th century named Nostradimus (i'm not quite sure of the spelling). he wrote a book called "centuries", where he recorded his prophecies for 10 centuries to follow, with chapters for every century. each chapter contains 100 quartet-poems that form a prophecy. when this book was studied it was found that more than 80% of his prophecies are true, which completely rejects the possiblity of coincedence.
i myself had an Xperience by accident that can never b Xplained as anything but fortuneSEEING.
i myself think that no one can PREDICT the future, at least for now, but i think that some people - though few - have the gift os SEEING the future

well.... your future is in your hands. no one can predict future (atleast i think so).
but... there are factors which affect the way you behave or react to a situation. so.. fortune tellers are not toally wrong (if they are genuine fortune tellers that is). and infact, they can even suggest you changes so that you behave more positively or become more optimistic. (my sister waers a topaz ring and insists on me wearing a pearl ring. she knows a bit about it.)things like these you know.

I'am amazed to find that totally nobody of you with your different religions believes in fortune telling. We must expect fortune tellers to say something about the future, which may come true. But Islam says, "fortune tellers are lighers, even if they happen to say something true." But i'd like to add another point to this discussion. It's about zodeiacs. I think that people who were born in the same month share many common characteristics. This is stated in so many books. I believe that people's characteristics are attributed to their star. What do you think? Who agrees to me, and who doesn't?

I don't believe in fortune tellers either. Everybody has the power to predict their own future -- it's called "consequences of past actions."

According to my friends. At times they are true, at times they are false, frankly speaking I never had time to go to a fortune teller nor did I believed in them. But very fascinating indeed!

I've heard many people claim that Norstradomus' prophesies are so vague that they could be applied very different situations. Also one has to ask if people MAKE prophesies occur after they've heard them.
