Poverty Eradication in Africa?
December 8, 2007 - 10:28 AM

Poverty and social exclusion can affect all age groups. People are living in poverty if their income and resources (material, cultural and social) are so inadequate as to preclude them from having a standard of living which is regarded as acceptable by society generally. As a result of inadequate income and resources people may be excluded and marginalized from participating in activities which are considered the norm for other people in society.
Poverty is a socio-economic scourge raging at varying degrees throughout the African continent.

In my own view I can see much approach to addressing Poverty result into “poverty Management” rather than “Poverty eradication”.

Where exactly do you think players in poverty eradication strategies are lacking? And what are your suggestions that could help in eradicating poverty in Africa?
