EUTHANASIA.{it's morally right or wrong to practice it?
November 30, 2007 - 08:58 AM

Euthanasia{Mercy Killing} Is the act of killing someone who is very ill or old so that they do not have to suffer anymore..
In 1999, Mrs Terry Jones, from United State was confirmed brain tumour. A terminal disease capable of making her to live abnormal life forever. She was feeding through tube, she can't talk can't live without tube.
In 2005 his husband asked for Euthanasia after that she gave up. Along the line, there was controversy concerning her death. People stated talking, that why must she die, she has right to live, despsite her long term suffering in the hospital bed.
What's your opinion about that?

I think euthanasia is alright as a last resort, to end suffering.

Yeah
But would you like to "live" when you can't talk, eat, hold who you love, I mean, that's not living.
I know euthanasia is bad, someone is beeing KILLED.
But what would you prefer?
Living twenty years without moving, eating, talking, only having your thoughts(if you have them) 'till dying or just putting an end to your suffer??[Obviously, as a last resort]

it would depend on the culture of the person... in the philippines where family ties is very strong, it would be difficult to convince the people that it is morally correct... but for me, why prolong a persons agony if you know that this person will still die? would'nt it be correct to give the person or his/her family the freewill to decide?
