JAMAICAN CHILDREN BEING MURDERED…
Mayhem in Jamaica
The Kingston & St. Andrew Action Forum (KSA-AF) representing over 50 communities in Kingston and St. Andrew; is STRONGLY condemning the sporadic rape and murder of our Jamaican children and youth.
The KSA-AF contends that Jamaica is in trouble because throughout recent weeks, there have been alarming numbers of reported cases of child abuse and MURDER. We hear of:
§ A four month old baby being shot - MURDERED,
§ Four young men found with throats slashed – MURDERED
§ A twelve year old girl found raped with a broom stuffed in her vagina – MURDERED
§ A fifteen year old being raped on more than one occasions in one day – CALLOUS ABUSE
§ 18 year old battling for life at KPH – SHOT in the throat
In response to the killings and abuse, KSA-AF Youth Advocates, partnering with agencies such as Women’s Media Watch, Jamaica Youth Advocacy Network, JA-Style, Child Development Agency, Ionie Whorms Inner-City Centre and other individuals and agencies; are hosting a press conference on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon to be held at the Mustard Seed Community Children’s Home, 1 Mahoe Drive (Off Hagley Park Road), to express how irritated we are at the inhumane treatment meted out against our children and to devise practical strategies to curtail this problem.
The conference will be attended and addressed by Children Rights Advocates, entertainers Queen Ifrika and STEPPA; Assistant Commissioners of Police, People’s National Party Youth Organisation (PNPYO) representatives; Generation 2000(G2K) representatives and Religious Leaders.

THANK YOU FOR INFORMING ME OF THIS TRAGEDY.
I CONTINUE TO HURT WITH OUT-RAGE AND SADDNESS ABOUT THE LEVEL OF INTERNATIONAL CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY AND ABUSE.
