Can there Ever be World Peace?

Every country on earth preach peace ,But i still fail to understand what peace means to most people.
I have to type in this because of what i see on television,listen to radio,and even the internet.
Bombings ,death caused by heartless humans and worst of it all brothers killing brothers,sisters killing sisters.
Can there ever be world peace?

Unfortunately, I think the answer to your question is NO. There may be a short period of peace, anyways, it won't last long. Why? I suppose war is a part of human nature, driven by the greed and the lust for power. Too bad.

Unfortunately, I have to agree that there will never be world peace. It is purely and simply an impossible state to attain as uniformly as the entire world. "Violence is not the answer but unfortunately the inevitable result of human existence."

Sorry for the double post but I'd like to add that although it may never be possible to have perfect peace all across the world, we must all never stop trying. No matter what, pursue the impossibilities because only by doing so can you make them less impossible.

to me peace means living in content without the faer of terrorism ,racial abuse ,war .its difficult ot attain complete world peace.yet we can try our best

There will be a peace world,but not now. It is a long time to have a peace world because there is many things that need to be slove such as terrorism. Terrorists is not in a country and that why it makes the matter more serious. It is the first reason.
The second reason is the goverment. We need them to lead our country and depend on their decisions so much. A war without sodiers, can it be started?I know many people are rent for taking to war. It is also a job. I don's say it is good or bad because we haven't solved all the problem of this world yet and people have to solve it by theirself, by their ability. When everyone in this world knows how to respect another, and thinks about a better place. A peace world is the place that every people can control their life (not because of law). Maybe terrorists also say as me that they also want to have a better place and they are making it.It is ok.
After all this i still believe we will have a peace world.

Yes it is possible, but it will take catastrophy for humanity to understand that we are all similar, we all have the same basic needs. What really justifies war? Nothing but the contempt and arrogance in the nature of every government. Their realization that they hold power some how allows them to reason with ethical and moral issues of people as a society. If someone or something about another country or society conflicts with another, then it is possible that those entities would go to war. This needs to change. The mentallity that governments have with power will have to become more dynamic to encompass peace, that war is not an option, no matter how desperate the situation. It is possible to reconcile differences, because religion and material or money aren't the only aspects of humanity. Hopefully a younger generation can take stand against the old and obsolete strategies and policies that allow for justification of death and destruction in any form. Can we start talking about how we can achieve this world peace first by asking questions of why we are in this situation, instead of stating the obvious that world peace is hard to attain?

I think that as long as there are humans there cant be peace. i think because al humans have some sort of want for power and that can lead to war and fighting

I think ,i can predict the future now .There has been series of treat by some of the countries in the middle east . But thank God today every thing seems to be under control .
There would be world peace some day

i have just come across an interesting concept about negative peace and positive peace anyone who can explain this to me.
Shall we be able to see peace in this world?i believe we can but its difficult and i hear people say IMPOSSIBLE and that word you can read it as IM POSSIBLE!
But one thing i know whenever there are two people there is bound to be conflict-on a small scale or large scale(fully fedged fighting).Because people are different their interests, power,needs,perceptions etc all these can lead to a conflict.
To have peace its possible but a great task.

Am so glad we have almost the same ideas on this issue.You know it hasn't being this close.I mean we argue a lot when it comes to certain issues.
But i think there can be world peace if the middle east and some countries in Africa can show love to one another ,Remove greed from there life and also serve God with full heart and keep to his Commandment.
If you got a different idea on what i just punch in, feel free to express your self.
This is TAKING IT GLOBAL and also TALKING IT GLOBALLY.

do unto others as you would want them to do unto you.
If we all live by this i think peace is attainable because i wont do something the next person will not like espeacially if i dont want that to be done unto me.
You have also not mentioned the west as they are playing a major role in disstabilising the world.
I read somewhere that UK is one of the highest exporters of arms more than China!
As for the US it goes without saying im sureits very clear on their role in distabilising the world.As for these i dont know what can be done to them but they are really contributing to world killings

in my oppinion, we should first believe in peace and educarte the children the peace culture, it means that the peaple should love peace first then we can see a little improvement in the peace culture level worldwide, that is why my association works on this topic by organizing an international forum of youth of peace, and from this place i invit all the organization which are interested by this topic to come and participate with us because we need a strong collaboration to make peace the first choice to get the best life we dream of.

YES, YES YES. THERE CAN BE FULL PEACE IN THE WORLD. IT DEPENDS ON ONE THING
CALLED UNDERSTANDING....
IF WE UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER WHERE IS CONFLICT?.
