Hello!
Yes, it's pretty hard to learn a foreign language when you are not in a context that gives you the possibility to hear or to speak that language all the time. But it's not impossible
If you want to learn more easily another language you should listen to that language as often as you can. You can watch movies (without subtitle in your native language), news, etc. or listen to music. You should also read as many books and articles as you can. If you have the possibility, talk with native speakers. There are so many ways of getting in touch with them. You have to practice the language that you want to learn and this way you will become fluent in that language. And you don't have to be afraid of making mistakes, because only by doing them you can evolve.
Good luck!

I think that knowledge of foreign languages also gives us sense of tolerance.
What about me, I feel languages with the heart. It's so fantastic to hear which beautiful sounds the folks of the world use to express the essence and meaning of things. I always say: "Languages are music of people's hearts" and I like hearing to it, somehow... it makes richer inside.
About learning: reading and speaking (even if one speaks to him/herself )! Good luck, friends!

Learning a new language is a great challenge that I believe everyone should take on some day.

Nothing good comes easy. In any case, its very important to understand and be able to speak at least one lingua franca (widely spoken language) in an area.
