What is your dream?
October 27, 2007 - 01:58 AM

One day a husband asked his wife “ What is your dream?”. This question made her wife surprised so much and she said nothing. Then the husband said” My Dream is that I work hard and then I will have much money and pay a visit with you”. What do you think about what he said??

Do you know why the wife said nothing? Why did she keep silent?? Do you know why? She didn’t say anything not because she had no dream, just because she tried to remember her dream. After their marriage, she wondered herself “I got married and have to try my best to do my duty for family” and after that her dream was fading day by day. What do you think about it? Have you ever realized that you forgot something that you used to catch? When do you wake up in the morning, what is the first thing do you usually think of? Even you think about it every time, are you sure that you will never forget it?

It is very difficult to be a female.when young a female is a daughter ,sister and friend to whom is connected family's prestige.after marraige she has to look after her family.and her life just passess. In India ,girl studenst always do better than boys in studies .but after they grow up they are married and their career goes for a toss.Assertion of an individual identity is not taken very well by socitey.sometimes women are so busy fulfilling their various obligations that they just forget their real self. They are so content beign somebody's wife ,mother that they think this is their identity.
iam a post graduate working woman.yet my dream is to take care of my family.this is despite the fact that my family has always been supportive of my work and aspirations.

May be nobody never asked her about her dreams.
Usually people (men) think they know what a woman dreams about. I mean - what they should dream about..And nver ask the woman herslef. In this situation a person (woman) is not ready/not able to answer this question, coz she thinks about everybody/everything exept herself

Your question is a very important one. thank you for posting it.

i agree with vas. Prestige, tradition,... fasten woman. They was born, and grew up in that situation. As a destiny, it is in their character. Prestige, tradition,.. catch female until their life ends.
why does she forget her dream?Maybe she is also living with her dream now-that is having a good husband and lovely children. But I don't think it is her biggest dream, just because the world developes so much and many conceptions has changed. A happy family is not only their biggest dream. I mean every one has their own dream- for their life ,-which doesn't belong to their family.
A busy life and no one asks for her dream after she got married, so she forgot it. Success is a long way, with patience, trying without rest and enthusiasm. She was not sure that she could success and knew the feeling of success. Moreover she has a happiness-that is family in her side. As a athlete was tired in his way, he saw a house that was so welcomed, he came and forgot what he was doing. She is so successful at her wife responsibility. she forgot herself and sacrify for another. Please tell me it is great or not???

I think that as she got married she realized, I have a husband, I have my kids, I have a house, what else could I possibly want? I think she forgot about her dreams because she thought she was living her dream. It all depends on culture and your traditions but I think everyone has a BIGGER dream and I'm sure she does too but maybe she thinks it's ridiculous and it would never happen?

Have you ever though a busy life can make us forget many things? I mean we can not remember all happened in our past. She devotes for her family as a responsibility that wife has to have. She also tried for her future when she was in the same age of us. A good family with nice partner, good children, houses are always our dream, especially women. Her dream is ridiculous and unreal??In my opinion, she got marriage so soon , and it is the matter.

If a lady who is believed to have a dream got married and forgot her dream, then it meant that her dream has been to get married.

I don't think so. In my country, females have many rights. And i don't think she has only a dream because she has a high degree and not poor
