Social intrepreneurship

Jean Baptiste, a French economist, define entrepreneur as a person who creates value by shifting economic resources out of an area of lower and in to an area of higher productivity and greater yield.
Social entreprise:
Is any business venture created for social purposes, mitigating or reducing a social problem or a market failure.
Social entrepreneur:
- adopts a mission to create and sustain social values.
- Recognizes and pursues new opportunities to serve that mission.
- Engages in a process of continuous innovation, adaptation, and learning.
- Acts without being limited by resources currently at hand.
- Exhibits heightened accountabilitiy to the constituencies served and outcomes created.
