I think that this website is a great resource for youth to have in this "information age." Not only is this one of the only websites whose sole agenda is youth empowerment opposed to the franchising of youth; this site gives youth the opportunity to reach other youth through the power of thought, creativity, and reflection, which are terms that have rarely been used to describe the actions of the world's youth.
It is because I am a member of the TakingITGlobal community that I have truly begun to feel like not just a Canadian citizen, but as a global citizen as well.

It is a great website, Easy place to make friends and just chat the day away. It's really great to see that you can also speak to people from other countries too, It is a really great feature for this site.

I LOVE this website....
My favourite thing to do is read the awesome poems and check out the threads
I have to admit, things were a bit confusing at first but it didn’t take long to get used to it
Peace Out

This site (TIG) is one of the best i have come across. it has every resources one could ever think of and need.
it also gives me a sense of belonging and an opportunity to interact with similar and like minded people all around the world
I think the founders of this site are very intelligent and enterprising and they have done a wonderful job outthere.
it gives me joy to know that youths all over the world are very enterprising and hardworking with a sense of responsibility and dedication.

SInce all the posts here have been so positive, I was wondering if any of you know of youth in your communities who are not being engaged?
Is there a reason why they are not using TIG? (lack of funds, no time, don't know about TIG...)
If any of you are in chapters such as local Doctors without Borders chapters, is there a reason your group doesn't use TIG? (don't want to sign up, there is already an existing system you use, etc..)
We're looking at expanding the TIG membership in 2008 and want to try and find out what active youth out there are not being currently targeted by TIG, and why they are not already being engaged by our platform.
Any insight would be appreciated!

the site isn't bad, it is informing, educative and enriching.
But, I discovered that despite its many users, only very few people respond to forum discussions, e.g. in the English Board. I don't know why???
Maybe we should seek better ways of of making the site more user friendly and captivating. . . .maybe

Hi Olowotee,
Do you have any suggestions in how to make TIG more user friendly or captivating? Have you seen the new MyTIG section? What do you think?

hi Hugh,
I've seen the new MyTIG version. It's Okay. I actually sent this suggestion before the advent of the new TIG. I didn't know you guys were working towards that.
The New MyTIG is cool, I love it except for the fact that these two features(or more) are no longer there:
1. "Most recent visitors to my page" section is no longer visible. Why???
2. Online status(always denoted with a green icon) of my friends are also no longer visible.
My question then is. . . .
Are you guys still going to fix it in, most especially the number one option? Cos, It makes me know and appreciate my visitors. ****smiles*****
Thanks.

The site is a great one where those who have value for themselves and others are meant to be. I love to be part of this project as to make a difference in my life and inpact knowledge on others (YOUTHS).
