That's weird to me, because when I study, I need the environment to be at least, almost completely quiet. If there is background music, it tends to be distracting to me.

I wonder if there is a teacher that has incorporated every learning style possible, into one lesson plan that appeals to every students' needs, considering the time constraint on the classroom for each school year.

This also works for me, I feel that this is a visual/spatial learning style. when I look at what I need to remember, and it is color coded for me to easily reference the main points of the material, I feel that I can remember it better.

learning comes different to all people, before i thought about how i was a highly kinesthetic learner and i still am but i never realized that it also takes me to WANT to learn the subject and be PASSIONATE about it. So just remember, if there is a way to make something more desirable for you, don't be afraid to tweak it around and make the piece work for you! smile

I feel that the learning styles tests that I have taken have described me very well. I am a logical and verbal linguistic learner with musical and intrapersonal qualities as well. I specifically rely on the abstract sequential style of learning.

I learn best in school when teachers have a more active, and talkative classroom; then a quiet and boring class. I also was a tutor in high school and that helped a lot as well, because the more I taught someone else the basics of something, the better I could understand it myself.
But when it comes to studying I find it much easier to study on my own and in a quiter environment so I can focus. Re-reading information always helps as well so that it sticks.

Of course we have to learn, but I think that there are many others ways to go about it. There are multiple different teaching styles that are centered to help certain students learn best. Though its true, that if we don't want to learn anything then we don't. We have to be willing to apply ourselfs if its something we want.

I agree with you on that. Younger children learn better by experience, and without experiencing something, they will most likely not obtain the information in the way that they are meant to.

I think Internet is the best source to learn anything these days.

My experience as a student allows me to say that, there is not a standard way for people to learn best. That varies from one person to another and from one field to another. However, I would argue that, one of the best ways to learn better and faster is "Practicing". By practicing, you memorize lot of things without big efforts.
Reading books are certainly a good way to learn because they store all kind of knowledge but a good way to remember what you read in a book is to share that with your friends.

I learn best when I'm writing the most important points or drawing a graphic that helps me to remember the topic. Actually, these two are my ways to study for the exams and I'm used to them. To go somewhere, or to do some kind of an experiment are also good ways for me to learn something.
