STAND UP & SPEAK OUT

I couldn't see a thread about this particular event so I thought I'd write a quick one. As I'm sure many of you know, last year over 23.5 million people from all over the globe took part in an event known as STAND UP, setting a world record as they made the simple yet symbolic gesture of standing up against poverty.
Once again, on the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty- this Wednesday 17th October, the event will be taking place again and the organisers want to break last years record. There are events happening around the globe and you can find out if there's one near you, or can register your own event at the international website: www.standagainstpoverty.org
If you event has 1000 people or just ten, please register it, as every person will help to contribute to the record attempt and will also be apart of calling on our governments to take action.
Thanks!
