This question can be very hard to answer first because what maybe negative to me maybe positive to someone else depending on what they want to know and why. Though I admit, ICT has got its negatives its positives override its negatives therefore making it very hard to really think of its negatives. Negatives are there but I choose not to list them down because as I said at the beginning, it depends with individuals.confused

This is abit of an uptight question to respond to but i believe one of the negative impacts of ICT is use of internet for child pornography and issues of spamming personal details by criminals and using the information for all the wrong reasons.

In my seven years of using the Internet as a major branch of ICT, i have come to realise that the Internet is the best thing that has ever happened to mankind apart from the discovery of Electricity.

Its negative and positive side are just like the knife, which can be useful in slicing oranges and other fruits for consumption, if not handled carefully, can also be a snare to the person handliing it.

But the Positive sides of ICT is totally enormous and we cannot but continue to thank God for the exposure it has brought to mankind and womankind (for the gender sensitive).

The negative impact of ICT is better discussed in relevance to the location of the writer. By this I mean the impact in each land and community is of varied dimessions. For instance in my own Country (Nigeria), it ranges from hardous effect of the outdated materials picked from the various dump sites in the UK and America which have got high radioactive substance emmission to the gulibility of the users who go to any length in acquiring this appliances as soon the versions and models are changed. The dangerous waste these obsolete equipment now constitute in our communities is seen as a time-bomb that has not even been given a glimpse by our government.
