Stay logged in option
October 4, 2007 - 04:51 AM

Hi!

Maybe it has something to do with my cookies settings, but I haven't changed them for long. Anyway, since the new version of TIG is live, even if I choose the option to stay logged in, everytime I have to login again. Before, my login lasted for days, with no need to login everytime I access TIG from scratch.

THANKS!

frank

Frank,

That is true for me. But to top that off, half of the time when I am logged in my Avatar does not show up on Who Is Logged/In and then when I am not logged in my Avatar shows up that I am Logged/In.

Hugh said U can blame it on Yaz. But, me I think it's the Nut on the KeyBoard that needs tightening up.

bye,
george

Frank,

If U take UR keyboard apart U will not find a single Nut in a keyboard, Now, what Nut could i be talking about. It is ur keyboard and mine is mine, we're both having problems. A nut is some one of low mental facalties, i.e. idiot.

bye,
george

So, do you speak by personal experience when you talk about tearing a keyboard apart searching for nuts? smile

I'm also having trouble with staying logged in. I know Hugh said the function was taken away during some upgrades, but that was a while ago?

What browser are you all using? I just tested using Firefox, and IE7, and both worked fine. Is it an IE6 issue? I'll look more into it but the basics of the feature should be working correctly. So it must be something tricky!

Hi MIchael!

Yes, I am using IE 6 to access to TIG. I use Firefox to do online shopping, having it to clean cookies & co. at every session for increased safety. I use IE6 for sites in which I want to stay logged in, I delete cookies only when I reinstall the OS on my computer.

Having to retype login info is not big deal, but I wanted to make you aware of this situation.

See ya!

I haven't been able to get this to work either :P

The old "stayed logged in" left me logged in until I either logged in somewhere else or logged myself out. Now, it will leave me logged in for a few hours but not much more.

Firefox 2.0.0.8 for me. smile
Though today I opened my browser, went to the TIG homepage and I was already logged in! Pleasant surprise. smile

How long is the "stay logged in" option supposed to last for? It doesn't feel like it's working for me. I have to login every day/every browser opening.

I use the latest version of Firefox 2.0.0.12
Thanks. =)

Cherrie, do you use a Mac? Mike doesn't have this problem, which is why I'm wondering....
