Many things make my heart to bleed. It bleeds for racial injustices and prejuidices. It bleeds for the starving and dying populaiton of the third world, It also bleeds for global warming and those without hope for a brighter future.
What makes your's to bleed? Can we share it here?

My heart cries for any type of injustice.
I consider human and life superior to any other thing, especially to material things.

Yes, often In my lifetime in Africa and Asia and now I known more about Eastern Europe where a genocide even larger than the Holocaust is still largely unknown and in some countries including my own, not even recognised as a deliberate act of starvation. .
These things inspired me to take action, in one way or another. In more recent times it was Beslan.
Those which make my heart bleed most are those that I'm aware of now and other's won't believe. Death Camps for Children in Ukraine for instance.

My heart bleeds for the Tibetan people. The modernization of the peaceful Tibetan farmlands has proved that the next up and coming super power delivers an in-your-face assault to all Universal Human Rights on a daily basis, hourly, minutely, secondly...
Beijing 2008 Olympics: China was granted privilege by the UN to run the torch through Tibet. Tibetans are outraged by this injustice as they are still fighting, are still being beaten, tortured and murdered for opposing the Chinese government in peaceful demonstrations. Canadians have been imprisoned for waving a flag "Free Tibet" on the wall of China.
My heart bleeds for their ignorance.. it bleeds for our ignorance. Protest for Tibet, give the UN a stronger voice, and stop making the same mistakes we've made in the past!
China will surpass us, and will develop the world we have already created, and they will succeed if we do not act now. studentsoffreetibet.org .. check the Dalai Lama, he knows whats up... u never know, it might be the straw that broke the camel's back.
Did anyone watch The Nature of Things tonight? Congrats on the 80something year old David Zuzuki for dedicating his life to our environmental education.
And that's all I have to say... in a nutshell

My heart bleeds the most for little children who are victims of war. They deserve an environment where they can have opportunities to grow and be able to become responsible citizens of their nations.
The sufferings of children around the world comes in all forms. Some are caught in armed conflicts and because of these they never get access to quality education. There are also gender-based violence among children. This violence must be addressed at home, in schools and in the community itself.
We must engage in policy advocacy work to ensure that significant institutions and governments are sensitive to their rights. That these institutions must consistently engage themselves on campaigns to support issues that affects the children.

I totally agree with you. These children are daily been abused and deprived of their rights to the basic things of life. They have no food to eat, no place to live, no basic education, and infact they are really being denied their rights which are enschrined in an international document called the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Even though they live in countries that are very rich in natural resources, only little can be heard of the achivements of these countires in protecting the rights of these children. All they do is to conitnue borrow huge sums of monies for their personal benefit and claim that children are the futre leaders. How can achildren be a future leaders in these kind of environment.

Dearest Emmanuel,
this disturbing trend shows that the "third world" is simply still under slavery. Elite Members of of these countries - especially African countries- are holding the future generations to ransome by treating children this way. What we will have in future is a generation of Africans who have seen it all, and are not ready to sacrifice for the good of their fatherland.
It is a disturbing trend that may ensure perpetual underdevolopment for this continent.

I have to agree with Hitler on one thing: "How fortunate for leaders that men do not think." I find it so ironic that there is such little conviction in people to believe that there is something vulnerable and human at the core of every culture. I do believe that struggle is inevitably conducive to society -- and there is a further struggle to be the fittest and to simply survive. Yet, at the center of all of that chaos, there is ambition: there is that universal determination to stay a little longer because, believe it or not, we all love this place. We all love the individuals that make this place what it is.
And I believe that in an era of such abundant technology and mediums for communication, we fail to think and educate ourselves about one another. All those technologies are used to glorify the life of a hollywood diva, and then suddenly the screen shows episodes of the 1993 genocide in Rwanda. We're depressed for a few moments, perhaps even a day or two, but then it's back to our regular routines of working and consuming day in, day out.
And everywhere you go, people accept this as "reality," as if reality is something fixed like nature, something we cannot change. But if these people thought more, believed more, reality would be of different nature -- but they don't think. They don't care because it is easier to feel a little sympathy here and throw a little money there and believe that the experts will do something about it, only to find that the experts have lost the same level of conviction.
That wounds my soul. Sure, there are many issues in the world, but the fact that people simply don't level up to their intentions in terms of action -- people want to do something to fill the void and cracks, research proves people's awareness is prevalent. Yet, people slip into the world of fads and consumerism to care long enough. It happens to the best of us and I must admit, it's thoroughly dissapointing.

My heart bleeds for those who cannot escape what they have been born into.
The caste society of any developing countries brings tears to my eyes to see how one person can see themselves as higher in power than any other just by who their family is.
My heart bleeds for the children born into such a places where clean water and sanitation are poor or non existant. i know I am a lucky child to live where i do, but it makes my heart break to see I cannot help these children, even with all that i have.
Most of all my heart bleeds for the war torn countries who have not brought war on themselves. It is disaster they see all around and it affects those who are not fighting, it effects everyone.
