Watching a television debate in the BBC dubbed the Doha Debate, the topic was whether to talk to alqueda or not as a way to bring peace to the world. The vote for those who suprted the talk wane the day. The question is are we realy ready to try other strattegies for us to succeed?

There are many more terrorist organizations, not only Al-Qaeda, so it's not possible to speak about the world peace. I mean, it depends on many other things as well. However, "fight with terrorism" usually is nothing but a sonorous slogan and, unfortunately, a good-looking cover for those seeking their own purposes

that idea is not gonna work.
but whether it works or not..ill be interested to see it !!
but before they talk to Osama Bin Laden...we should wait till Bush is VANISHED from the white house before we get to see some peace in this world!

well, i believe complex question could be solved through dialogue and understanding of one another's point of view.
the gulf expands between two rivals when strong never listens to what the weak says, but if strong listens to him, weak will only complaint about his attitude. more importantly he can never harm the strong.
so USA and international community must, for sake of peace [even if partial] in the world, start dialogue with Al-Qaeda and other organizations. if some arbitrators are also involved in the process will be more effective and fruitful.
hope for the best

international friends, talk across borders from within the states indicates steady progress towards outsting hatred from the venomous government now in power, have faith that come to a close is the power hungry, falling down are the agressors on all fronts.

Salam for all
i think it is conplicated problem .... the problem that of defining the terrorism and who is the terrorist ? what is the difference between military resistance and terrorism ? and also we have to ask our selves especially govrnmental and politics why they become terrorist ?
i think we have say it frankly that they become like this because there are injustice in this world , there is country who control worlld ? there is no real democracy and equally in this world ?
for example , i will give u an example of palestinian case , all militants wings of palestinian parties are considered terrorist wings ? simply because they fight israel who has occupied thier land , on the other hand israeli who commit masacres in palestine and lebanon is consider as a peacfull state because America wants that ...........
this is bad world who keep silent on American masacres in Iraq ,afghanistan , vetnam , ........
so it is is simple to finish terrorism from this and make it safe if we give people their rights .
