The countires like India needed the practical things to adopt.Even you are thinking about the many things , this is far for u to guess. So asking ur mercyful offerings to lift up the poor in their sickness. There are millions ,membrane cases, Sugar cases,Polio cases, have no care for them. The villages are not having drinking water , they are becoming the lame and deaf and the Blind. No growth of the child. Who cares? The people who goes to the interior of the villages . Our volunteers are able to reach the villages at the core level. They does need ur assistance. If u provide them a vehicle, if provide a meal, they will bring the patients to the Hospital and get the free Teatment. They have no fares to travel and the DA to meet the hunger and hungry.Pl do mind this and try to provide the vehicles to travel even to reach the patients and get beck them to the Hospital where they get the treatmentas well.

Re: is providing direct help not "rights based"?

In the development sector, there are constant debates between - what is rights based? and what is needs based?
many people believe that fulfilling the needs directly is againt the rights based approach.
the experience of course does say that unless you do not address the basic needs, you will not be able to assure the rights.
hence, it is true that unless people have mobility and accessibility, they will not be able to utilize other resources..be it for health or education or employment.
I am sure people in many other countries have struggled and are still struggling with the similar issues. Would others like to share?
