Are you young, interested in, or passionate about environmental issues, sustainability, social justice or youth leadership?
Do you want to be involved in taking action on Climate Change?
The Community Climate Change Action Group based at CERES Community Environment Park has developed within the community as an avenue for people inspired to do something about climate change to work with others to become informed, devise strategies and initiatives and be supported in taking action on climate change.
We are now trying to establish a Youth Action Group of the CCAG which will allow young people in the Moreland and surrounding areas to gather and learn about important environmental issues, in particular climate change and global warming and what they can do.
The focus of the group will be on education, awareness and action!- we want young people to become informed and active in finding solutions to combat the effects of climate change and lead the way in our community and the world.
It is expected that they group will meet regularly at CERES and be involved in numerous planned activities, however, it is hoped that young people who become involved will take a lead role in organising and planning the actions of the group with the support of CERES and other CCAG members.
Come along on Thursday 6th September
4.00-5.30pm
CERES Community Environment Park
Brunswick East,
Melbourne, Aust
in the CERES Van Raay Centre
