Guess what, you just wake up one morning and see yourself holding post like leadership;
What do you do?

I'd stop worrying about my political party, agenda, image, the next election... and think what do the people I'm leading what me to do in this scenario... or which decision would create the most positive result for my country and the rest of the world.

Do the best i can to make a difference which i have always desired others to make however little it may be. After my time of office, i would look back and say it was good i was a leader.

True leaders are catalysts to bold action or meaningful change. They teach, persuade, and inspire. They change minds and attitudes. They mobilize people. The credentials of a real leader are the list of things he or she reforms for the better.
As a leader must not favour friends but do what are necessary to be done to help build positive enviroment.

I would try to find ways to channel more of my nation's money into the education system. I believe that the best way to secure the future of any country is to secure the well-being of the young, first and foremost. Unfortunately, to do so is not an easy task. The US has so many issues that would prevent me from doing what I'd said above. It seems that the problems are so intertwined they've become hard to find solutions to. Everything you do as the leader of a nation affects the outcome of the entire world. It's like a big set of dominoes, the wave of change spreading quickly from the center to eventually affect everything

I would start to delegate
IMMEDIATELY
Compose a team to carry out specific jobs and I would then over see the proccess.
Create teams within teams.

hhmmm..that is quite hard. i hope i wont have to go through the indenial stage...
ffmm..when i wake up in the morning. the first thing taht i will do is eat my mean (which i rarely do) because i know ill be bombarded with a lot of things and that is a way that i can sustain everything...
after physical needs, i will go and start the first thing a leader should do...
..and that is plan...brainstorm about the task. in that way, i will come up with the second..and that is strategize...that is very vital...i will assess the strengths and weaknesses so i can deal with it then after implement..no other way but to start it..delegate and supervise...then assess output...in that way i can improve and then begin with the first step again...
in that way ill be able to sustain and perform well as a leader...
and their is a "side dish" which is very important...train people to be one too..so that if time will no longer allow you to be the initiator of change then you will never worry because you have prepared for the next generation...

Interesting Thread Plato!! Well, If I was the President of the United State:
I would listen to the people of the world, and protect the rights of them. I would make sure I was a fair and balanced politician. I would also pull the US Troops OUT of Iraq, try to restore peace with the US "enemies", and hopefully peace will be on earth
Once again; good idea for a thread!

i'd create a panel of smart people who's openions i trust. there'd be a couple of my friends, a guy i work with, some of my teachers, and many more who i'd seek out. they are the kind of people who think up creative ideas, are open minded, and still have strong morals.
if i was ever in doubt, i'd consult them until a solution came up that satisfied me. far too many leaders depend on the openions of people who really aren't the best to take advice from.
