i think that a perfect school is when kids get to wake up later than 6 o'clock. There is a study done that teens need more sleep to learn better.

I think the perfect school is one where they stop shoving homosexuality down our throats by saying its okay to be gay...a school where they pass out books to learn by instead of condoms. I believe the perfect school is one that minds its own business and teaches reading, writing and math etc. And leaves the left leaning agenda at the doorstep. I believe the perfect school is a school that teaches education and stops with the indoctrination.

I laugh at the hypocracy...when public schools here in Texas do back flips to make sure a cresent and star are displayed around christmas time, yet wear a cross to school and you are suspended. People are so weak these days...and in the name of political correctness....we sell our souls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A perfect school to me is that school that a child will come out from and be useful to his or herself and the society at large.

This child can not make this on his /her own but with the guide of someone who knows and is ready to direct the child the right way to become what he/she is to be in life.

THIS IS WHY IT IS IMPORTANT FOR THE GOVERNMENT, CHURCHES, INDIVIDUAL AND CORPORATE ORGANISATION SHOULD COME TO HELP US BY BUILDING AND MANAGING SCHOOLS SO WE CAN HAVE A PERFECT SCHOOL, WHERE LEADERS WILL EMERGE FROM.

OUR GENERATION HAS SUFFERED THIS ISSUE OF A PERFECT SCHOOL, LET'S NOT LET THE GENERATION S TO COME HAVE THE SAME EXPERIENCE WE HAD.

WE CAN MAKE IT, LET'S TRY.

One where you can receive a good education and not be in debt for the rest of your life for doing so.

I am wondering myself that. What do we get from it? knowledge or facilities? We need more a free education in the future. It seems that the more things we learn, the more creavity we lost. I realise it when i study in university. It doens't teach us how to become rich.

As a school student, i have read through a few of the responses to this discusssion. Personally i believe that school uniforms are good things in the school community because they provide a compulsory clothing alternative to 'mufty' or our own clothes. In America most schools don't have uniforms, and this to me, is ridiculous because i cant understand how these kids can find something different to wear every day of every school week. Can you imagine how much washing their mothers would have to do? lol. In my opinion, uniforms prevent some bullying in schools and also depression etc. because there is no need or opportunity for kids to be bullied about the way they dress. As a highschool student, my idea of a perfect school is one that has the perfect location- eg. the beach, there would be heaps of new and modern facilities and also a huge range of subjects available. However, i also think that teachers play a huge role in the success, results and attitudes of students towards their school, so there should be great teachers who, however, the parents may not like, but who the students can relate and learn from (whilst being disciplined if necessary). In the early postings, i saw a great idea about a 'free hour', in which kids could choose a class and be with friends while learning the subject for an hour. I think this is a fantastic idea, in theory, but in reality it probably wouldn't work because of the 'friends factor'. The kids wouldnt be able to be controlled. I also think that the new technologies such as 'apple learning' (i think thats what its called), should be experimented with.- i would enjoy testing other learning techniques for a change. smile i also think that modern buildings and classrooms are essential in setting up a suitable environment for us to learn in. Some of our classrooms are dark and dull-looking, which sets the mood of the class in advance. The classrooms should be bright (but not to bright) and colourful. madz

VThe school kids should all have their own lockers (so they have personal space), and their should be a big range of subject options available. The principal should be creative and able to relate to us. Assemblies shouldnt go for too long. There should also be shady grass areas throughout the playground and also a reasonably big oval, for sport lessons and lunchtimes. BATHROOMS SHOULD BE CLEAN AND FUNCTIONAL. lol. stick
out tongue and there should be adequate areas for recess and lunch for us to sit and talk. Many other factors would have to be incorporated- to many to list lolcoolsmilebig grin.

A perfect school includes;

The opportunity to study in a safe environment.

Highly qualified teachers who know how to, and are not afraid to discipline.

More attention paid to those students who show a willingness to learn, rather than focusing on ones who do not.

Access to excellent facililties for all students.

And...

Education should be FREE for everybody - without standards falling for those who pay less/nothing.

A perfect school??
Nothing can be perfect.
Anything has it's weakness.
So we can make a school nearly perfect but not the real perfect one.
Cos every rule and regulation has it's own weakness.
It's impossible to build a perfect school.
Instead, we can try to make our next generations smarter than us by teaching with advanced methods and the teachers who are really nice and smart.
Also the strategies for handling the children and adolescent are important.
So.. We will need to make a lot of changes.
Will discuss in detail later.

1. All students and teachers respected each other.
2. Everyone could affor the school uniform
3. All the students wanted to learn, not because they had to
4. All teachers wanted to teach, not beacuse they get paid
5. The whole school was acting as one, and was not divided into groups.
6. No rascism, mobbing, ignorance, etc

i'd like to be able to study outside if the weather is nice. in the spring especially, i want fresh air. also, it would be nice is much of the lunch food came from a school garden or greenhouse. that way, kids could get a healthier meal, a better understanding of where their food came from, a lesson on the value of hard work, hands on learning of photosynthesis and plant reproduction, and could even learn about soil types, PH, Nutrients, and the environment. one step better would have dairy cattle and egg-laying hens. i'd love to go to school somewhere like that. too bad there's so much red tape restricting what a school can be.

sad
